This review is from: The Young Equestrian: Professional Instruction for Ambitious Riders (Paperback)
Having started riding as an adult, I find this book a nice addition to any horse book collection. What stands out is the author's focus on providing encouragement as well as instructions. The photos are helpful (and professionally taken - a big plus). Several pictures of riders falling out of the saddle convey the message that it is ok to fall. Smiling faces of young riders are very encouraging. Not being able to afford a horse, I didn't pay too much attention to the horse buying section but overall I think this makes a great book for an adult beginner as well.
