Amazingly brilliant!, June 25, 2010

First I want to thank Blowitoutahere for getting my Father's Day gift here so promptly. This is probably the best purchase I've made in quite some time. Song after song, I've continued to be blown away by these bands & the playing of Mr. Page. For instance, his solo on "Leave my Kitten Alone" by First Gear is very innovative & simply smokes. The Les Fleur De Lys are a great band. Very mod. Page soars on these cuts. I own some of the cuts on other Castle EU releases by both Jeff Beck & Eric Clapton, but this Jimmy Page disc really kicks. Well, I better get back to discovering more mini masterpieces, as I'm only 9 tracks into disc two. Thanks amazon & blowitoutahere & RIP Pete Quife (?), the original bassist from the Kinks, who died today at 66. Wow, this track "Moanin" by Chris Farlowe is awesome with Page on sitar & a complete horn section. Now comes the Clapton/Page blues cuts & a couple with Jeff Beck & one by Nicky "Edward" Hopkins. Amazingly brilliant.
