hilarious and amazing!,

first, I'll admit that I liked this film so much I searched out the subtitled version after seeing the dubbed version (not hard to find). Wow, the subtitled version is SO MUCH BETTER. The dubbed version is a full 15 min shorter--omitting footage from both the lion dance and the final fight--2 of the best scenes in the movie. The dubbed version of the final fight really makes no sense because the dialogue is mistranslated and crucial events are editted out (eg-Jackie drinking the opium pipe water). This holds true for the dubbed film as a whole--you get the gist of the storyline, but the lines are mistranslated. The incidental music is also different. But even the dubbed version is funny, and the fight scenes are awesome.

Clowning and Kung fu amongst truly amazing stunts: a classic,

This film had me gurgling with delight from begining to end. Not only are there awesome choreographed sequences & some of the most beautiful props and costumes, but along with the Master of Kung Fu we see Chan impressive & delightful as a Master of clown.Beautiful locations, beguiling maidens with skirt fighting techniques to humble any flamenco dancer and a musical score that is in itself hugely entertaining (I particularly cackled at the choice of 'Mars' from Holst's Planets for the seminal fight sequence in which Jackie Chan emerges as the true "Young Master"). Do not miss this finely crafted & mischeviously entertaining movie- my absolute favourite Jackie Chan.

Good Old Jackie!,

By far one of his greatest films i have seen. Not far behind Snake in the Eagles shadow. The action in this one is top notch, and some good humor as well, but not corny like many of his new movies. I could watch these types of movies all day. It's got it all, including a long, amazing final battle with some of the most impressive styles you'll see. A must have for any jackie chan fan, or i should say any martial arts fan.

One of the greatest final fights ever in one of the best movies ever,

I can't believe people can't give anything else credit in this movie besides the martial arts. Every scene that leads up to the fight is good. The martial arts in this movie is definitely chan at his best, but I personally thought that this was one of the funniest movies ever. From the part where the baddie from enter the dragon tells chan all about this "criminal" he is looking for to chan's master beating the crap out of all his students to Li-Li-Li asking chan who he is and chan telling her he's a man. Oh yeah, Li-Li-Li is in this, and she looks hotter than ever, I would buy this movie for her scenes alone.
FAv dubbed line of the movie. MASTER-"Tiger, why did you betray us, why? TIGER-"Because Master, I betrayed you, I'm leaving. Also look out for chan's sob scene, this is truly a movie of epic proportions on every level The Fortune Star version is defintely the one to get, it is cheap and is 20 minutes longer than the cut versions out there.

The Best Of Jackie's Early Films!,

For a older movie I couldn't stop laughing, and the action wasn't bad either. When he takes a shower that's so funny. The dubbed voice of his is a classic. At least rent this. It's worth a view.

This movie was incredible. The dragon scene at the beginning is just plain cool. Some of the stuff he pulls with day to day objects and such are amazing. Also this is one of the funniest Jackie flicks in existence.

This is my favorite Jackie Chan movie next to Drunken Master 2--yes, it's that good. In fact, the comparisons between this and DM2 spread right through the whole film, from the quality of the production (this was Chan's first film for Golden Harvest) to the over-the-top substance-abuse-induced finale (in YM it's 20-year stale tobacco water, in DM2 it's industrial alcohol (kids, don't try this at home!)). The beginning of this is just gorgeous, with two rival Kung-Fu schools dancing/competing for a prize, dressed in dazzling Dragon costumes. Next there is a wonderfully choreographed fight scene in which Jackie uses a large white fan to confuse his opponent. The story is great, the humor is great, it has a wonderful comedy/fight scene with Jackie's opera school brother Yuen Biao, great fights, great....need I go on?
