For those of you like me...,

Who can't seem to get enough of all these post-rock/instrumental bands do yourself a favor and pick up This Will Destroy You's ep (they also tend to add a bit of electronica to the mix). They seem to be at the forefront of the genre perfecting that whole soft to loud thing that we all love Mogwai for, although their "heavy" parts are much more sparse and mellow. And hence the name, this WILL destroy you, through sheer emotional power that is. 6 songs, 36 minutes of bliss. Recommended.

I really enjoy this album. But if we're being totally honest, every single one of these songs sounds EXACTLY like Explosions in the Sky (well, except for the one that sounds exactly like The Album Leaf)...enough so that I'm almost tempted to use the word 'plagiarism'. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they are merely inspired by these bands, not copying them outright. This is very good music, and I hope to hear more from these guys. I just hope the next time around, they do something that sets them apart from their peers.

Some of the best instrumental/post-rock out there.,

I generally don't write reviews, but after absorbing this album thoroughly, I felt compelled to share my thoughts.
In the last two years or so, I've become a sort of connoisseur of 'post-rock' music. Prior to this, my musical open-mindedness was relatively low (I was/am a devout/casual deadhead). But then I got exposed to bands like Explosions and the rest is history. Onwards: this album is terrific. While I definitely enjoy their self-titled album, this, to me, is superior in many ways. I absolutely and thoroughly dig what they do here. I won't go into detail because if you're curious enough you can find out what this sounds like on your own via various sites like last.fm, but this is definitely one of my most-listened to albums in the last year. The two standouts for me are "The World Is Our " and "Happiness". The latter being one of the most beautiful post-rock pieces I've heard. As others have said, there is a minor/moderate element of electronica in their music, as well as a pinch of psychedelia. To me, it comes together in a very gorgeously arrayed presentation of aural landscapes...or something like that. :) If you're curious, give it a shot. Additionally, if you're just delving into this amazing genre, I'd like to suggest: Yndi Halda, The Evpatoria Report, Joy Wants Eternity, Hammock, and The American Dollar. Highly underrated bands, each of them, and all making original and bright endeavors into the genre.

Very good Album although it is somewhat short. The Beauty of these Songs make up for it. The Music takes me to Places in my Head that I've never been before. The Band resembles to me of Sigur Ros, Radiohead, The Cure, Mogwai, Slowdive, and others in this Genre of Beautiful Music.
If you like any of the Bands I've listed then you'll love this Band. Just remember no Lyrics. Doesn't matter cause they still get there point across with just the Music.

I saw these guys live at a 65 days of static show and they blew me away. Unfortunately the album comes nowhere near the power of the live performance, but it stands alone as a must for any fan of the genre.

I'm just glad that Explosions in the Sky isn't the only band that plays real music.

This album is simply awesome in and by design. It combines post rock with delicate atmospheric elements that create a broader sound than any other post rock bands that I have heard thus far.
I've listened to this genre for as long as I can remember and although it is comparable to Explosions in the Sky, Mono, Mogwai etc, I can easily say that it stands alone against them and holds its own. They have created their own unique blend of sound that illuminates the air. This type of music isnt for everyone, granted everyone sails their own ship, but if ever there were a ship to be sailed along a crestline sea that goes from blue to green then this is the album I would be playing.
