I love this album. Every song is good! Nice throw back vibe. She has a beautiful voice and the lyrics are great.

The second album from Tennis is just wonderful. The vocals are beautiful and the songs are fun poppy soulful and groovin!

Let me start by saying I've never listened to anything by Tennis prior to buying this album. Never even heard of them, to be honest. Every month, I dredge my way through the 100 albums for $5 Amazon lists every month, trying out different artists like clothes to find something I like. This album is one I'm glad to have found in the list!

The singer & instrumentals blend together some truly hypnotizing songs, all different but cohesive as an album. Some personal stand outs include Origins, Travelling, Petition, Take Me to Heaven, and Deep in the Woods. That's not to say the rest are filler (spoiler: they're not). The lyrics for many of the songs, while they could easily be fluff and I wouldn't complain (which goes to show how amazing the singer & band is), are compelling and thought provoking.

This album makes me want to drive to the beach in a convertible on a lone highway at dusk. Or rather, this album makes me think of things that make me happy... or something. All I know is, this is the best $5 I've spent in some time, and I will be following this band from here on out.

On the fence? Just buy it. I'll make no guarantees, but I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy the ride.

After Cape Dory, I hadn't a clue where Tennis would go next- they could have easily wrote another beach pop album. The music market today is flooded with "beach bands", but everyone knows Brian Wilson did it best, so why bother anymore? However, Tennis resisted the urge go down the well trodden path to the shoreline, but they saved their beach sounds while heading in a new direction. Young & Old is a collection of thoughtful pop tunes, and the production is brilliant (bravo Patrick Carney). The vocals are warm and endearing, and although the guitar takes the backseat in the mix, it fits in nicely behind lead vox. Tennis delivered a smash here- can't wait to see their live set! Why are you still reading this? Go buy this album and then grab a lawn-chair and a Tom Collins (you know the rest).

One of the best albums I've bought this year. Musical tastes are subjective. Personally, I really loved this album. It's cool, laid back and catchy as hell. The bonus tracks are actually a couple of my favorites. I would also recommend La Sera if you like Tennis.

I never bought or listened to their previous album (it's on my to do list), but I was in love with their song 'Seafarer'. I heard the singles from this record and I had to buy it. Most of the tracks are very solid 4/5s with a couple 5s in there; Origin, Petition, Traveling being my favorites. It's a very cohesive album, though sometimes the songs to sound too much alike, as in they give off the same atmospheric vibe throughout. There is some playfulness present, but it could of used some experimentation instead of just a change in melodies and rhythm throughout the package.

Alaina Moore(bands vocalist), the main draw and the cherry on top, exudes eloquence within this genre.

4 1/2 out of 5...memorable lyrics, fancy voice and very organized music.
The only thing missing is a "different" song, a branching out of sorts.
Very interested in this group.

This is a great album. I loved their first album, and this one sounds similar but it is poppier and a little more upbeat in general. Continues their signature sound but fleshes it out a subtle ways. It's kind of like old-school pop with a new spin. Her voice reminds me a little of Leigh Nash's.
