Product Description

Youngstown's Waterproof Winter XT is a heavy duty winter work glove designed to keep you warm in extra harsh winter conditions The 'added warmth' features include a double-sided micro-fleece liner, waterproof membrane, 200grams of 3M Thinsulate Insulation and an extended gauntlet cuff

From the Manufacturer

Youngstown's Waterproof Winter XT is designed to keep your hands warm and dry in extreme winter conditions. We start with a very warm and soft double-fleece liner. Then we have a waterproof/windproof/breathable to make sure your hands stay dry and warm. 200gram 3M Thinsulate is also added for exceptional, long-lasting warmth. The outer shell features a heavy duty non-slip palm that grips well in wet and dry conditions. This non-slip palm is also extremely durable and comfortable. We finish the glove with a gauntlet style cuff which is designed to fit over a jacket sleeve and cinch down to lock out the cold, wet wintery conditions. This glove is an ideal extreme weather winter glove that is not only durable enough for heavy duty work but it is comfortable enough to be used for any number of outdoor recreational activities. If you have to face cold winters you will love this glove. This is one of 7 waterproof and windproof winter gloves that Youngstown Glove Co offers. Available in sizes Small - XX-Large.

Great glove very warm and good fit!

The insulated liner is very restricted, even for my skinny fingers, and bunches/wads up before our fingers reach the tips of the glove shell.

I'm a diabetic with poor circulation in my hands. It snows where I live and I work in the forest cutting firewood. I needed a glove that would keep my fingers from freezing and also be able to stand up to the rigors of working with cutting and loading wood. Most gloves don't last more than a week or two. These gloves have lasted all season and hardly show any wear at all. Most important is that my fingers don't get cold at all, even in single digit temps. In short, they're tough as they come and they're the first gloves ever to truly keep my hands warm.

They are a little restrictive, but that's to be expected from a glove as well insulated as these.

Bought these to use with snowblower. I like the extended cuff, water proof, work type material, & 200 gram Thinsulate. Used them today in 4 degree weather with -10 windchill, they did not work. After about fifteen minutes my fingers were getting extremely cold & I have heated hand grips on my snow blower. Went back to my 40 gram Thinsulate gloves that I have used in the past in these conditions.

I did get these to work by putting some cheap brown jersey gloves inside of them, then they were fine. But with 200 grams of Thinsulate a person shouldn't have to. If they do have that amount in them, it is in the cuff & back of glove, definitely not in finger area where it is really needed.

As far as lining pulling out when removing your hand that other reviewers mentioned, was minimal for my experience. I did have to push the liner all the way to end of little finger for it to fit correctly on first try on my hands. I definitely do not think they are worth the price with the mod I had to do to get them to work for me, you may be different.

These gloves are great. I work outside most days and this is just what I needed. They fit snuggly, provide adequate grip, keeps your hands warm and dry. Make sure your hands are warm to begin with before putting on the gloves, the gloves are insulated and if your hands are cold it will keep them cold. Highly recommended.

These gloves are very warm, fit well and seem durable. With that said the common problem that has been reviewed is true. The liner in these gloves are loose and elastic. It becomes very hard to get fingers into the glove because of liner bunching. the liner pulls out of the fingers when you take your hand out of them. I have to reach inside the glove and pull the liner over my fingers and then push the liner back in. The things I like on these gloves are the addition of the wipe area on the thumb, and the shortened draw cord.(the previous version of these gloves the draw cord is 6"+ dangling down)

I am a daily walker and needed something to keep my hands warm when holding a dog leash. The gloves seem to be insulated everywhere except on the bottom of your fingers. They just don't seem to have enough insulation where I need it the most. You can feel the inner glove that they talk about but that is it. Not nearly as warm as I would have liked. 20degrees and I had cold fingers. They may be fine for someone who is actively moving their hands. A disappointment for me. Wish I would have kept the tags for returning. Sorry!

Based on my satisfaction with previous Youngstown gloves, I bought two pairs of these gloves, one for myself and one for my wife. My pair were virtually impossible to put on and my wife's were very difficult for her to put on. The insulated liner is very restricted, even for my skinny fingers, and bunches/wads up before our fingers reach the tips of the glove shell. After a long struggle to get the gloves on we found the gloves won't articulate more than a few degrees. Going up in size wontt help, as we both have about 5/8" of shell extending beyond our finger tips. I purchased these well before winter and it is now to late to return them to Amazon and Youngstown wont make good. I usually spend considerably more money on my winter gloves and never have complaints.

So far these gloves are great. They DO NOT breathe so beware. But I use them snowboarding and they're very durable so far. You're hands will sweat in them but they stay warm for what I have been doing. They do take a while to dry out so just be mindful of that.

These gloves were stated to be warm in very cold weather and with 200 gram of Thinsulate and with the research my son did before buying these gloves all indicates that these gloves should be warm. They were not cheap but not outrages so I would have expected them to be as stated warm in very cold weather. They were not. He used them twice for a couple of air soft wars with his friends this winter in a barn. He stated that his hands got cold not long after he began their war games. Maybe just walking and hiding during their games did not keep the blood circulating though out his hands. I suppose there are really no gloves that does keep ones hands warm in extreme weather if one does not keeping moving or keep active. My son said that he thinks the gloves are okay and would work in temps around 30's. He says the fit is nice and the high wrist coverage is also a nice feature. He has not used them since. Construction of the gloves seems sturdy and the stitching looks good but time will tell and with use or how much use it gets will determine the quality of the workmanship.
