5.0 out of 5 stars What a great book!, February 27, 2008

This review is from: "It's All In Your Head" Around the World in 80 Lyme Patient Stories (Paperback)
These stories really hit home for me, having struggled through 14 years of misdiagnosis. If only I were as articulate as I was before I became ill with lyme in 1991 so that I could give this book the review it deserves.

PJ Langhoff did a fantastic job presenting the facts and fiction of Lyme Disease and other tick-borne illnesses. The stories she has compiled are heart-wrenching. Every doctor should be required to read this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful and enchanting series!, March 31, 2008
This review is from: "It's All In Your Head" Around the World in 80 Lyme Patient Stories (Paperback)
PJ Langhoff's expertise and attention to detail has made this collection of books a very powerful and extraordinary gift to us all. These books are a reality check, and a powerful message to the nation and the world as to how serious Lyme disease is. Lyme disease, spread by ticks, is a national health crisis. It is destroying lives and disabling many thousands of people.

In "It's All In Your Head", PJ Langhoff carefully illustrates the shocking truth of how many thousands of Americans are being told they have a mental illness, attention deficit, depression, anxiety, OCD, and so on when in reality, they have been infected by serious infections that are altering their brain function. Everything has a cause. Normal healthy individuals do not suddenly come down with overwhelming fatigue and a whole host of bizarre symptoms seemingly "out of the blue". The cause of these symptoms warrants investigation.

PJ Langhoff graciously shares with us the true stories of real life Lyme disease patients from across the globe in this powerful and dramatic series. I highly recommend this collection to everyone, not just Lyme patients, because it will open your eyes as to how weak and clueless our health care system truly is. Many people do not realize how many germs a single tick can carry. These are filthy creatures who live off the blood of other animals and live in the dirt. One bite from an infected tick can infect you with Lyme disease, Babesia, Bartonella, Ehrlichiosis, viruses, nematodes and god only knows what else.

Wake up world, these books will prove to you the truth that is lurking in your back yards! Thank you PJ Langhoff for sharing with the world the powerful truth, giving the rest of us a voice, and providing this excellent educational tool for everyone. This should be required reading for all medical health professionals! Happy reading, this is great stuff!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hello From #37!, April 19, 2008
This review is from: "It's All In Your Head" Around the World in 80 Lyme Patient Stories (Paperback)
I am story #37 in this book. I wanted to share my story to help get the word out that we need help. Help to find medical testing and treatments. I have read these stories and cried often. I am grateful to PJ for putting all of this together for us. I hope to become more active in this field later this year. We currently have bills in the House and Senate: Ask your senators to cosponsor bill S. 1708. Ask your representatives to cosponsor H.R. 741.

Please read this and encourage others to become informed. I appreciate the opportunity to educate others and myself.
