Your Baby Can Read,
This review is from: Your Baby Can Read!, Vol. 2 (DVD)
I found that if you used all the great flashcards that are available nowadays you will be able to get good results also. The Touchy Feely Flashcards, Baby Flashcards, Animal Flashcards will help your baby to learn. Just be consistent with going over the flashcards daily. Point to the word and point to the picture. Also reading to them daily from as early as 3-4 months is the best thing for them to establish a loving, comfortable time and give them the love of reading and learning.

One of the better educational DVDs for babies,
This review is from: Your Baby Can Read!, Vol. 2 (DVD)
This is one of the best educational DVDs out there for babies and, believe me, I've seen them all! YBCR exposes babies to language, both written and spoken and gets a baby interested in the written word, which can be quite a barrier to break down. It uses a multisensory approach to teaching, which should have most babies covered. My kids love this and it has gotten them reading. A similar educational DVD exists for music as well (the title of which is "Trebellina"); that one is animated by teaches babies how to read music, perfect pitch, and instrument names and sounds. Put the two DVDs together and you're covering right and left brain training!

I have a 11 month old grandchld who is really enjoying these CD's. She has learned all the learning tasks on the first CD and is ready for the second. I can see she will benefit greatly as the program moves to more advanced tasks.

The product, Your baby can read, was received fast and was described exactly how the product is stated. The product was the cheapest in cost at the time of purchase. Thank you for doing business with me.

My parents bought the Your Baby Can Read set from Walmart last year. I lost the Volume 2 DVD to this set so I got this one. Just to warn everyone I think this product is from an older version. This was not the same version that my set came with that was purchased last year. The songs on this product are the same as volume 1 of the newer set (Itsy Bitsy Spider). I would suggest getting the newer version of the volume 2 if you can find it elsewhere!

This is well intentioned and done nicely etc etc etc
Flash cards, pull out cards and a book as well as DVDs ...but.... NOT WORTH THE PRICE !!!!!!!!!! Used it since he was 9months but he was a late speaker, yet knew all of his Alphabet from other resources and only mAYBE 5 words from this series ..in other words , he learned eLSEWHERE and flash cards, going to library, signing up for library free toddler reading programs etc work FREE BUT my guy at 28 months reads , knows all his letters JUMBLED up even UPPER and LOWER cases at 2. Hmmmmmmmm It came about as a natural gift ???? or a free TV show he was drawn to??? nOT this sad to say I also credit BABY BABBLE 1 and 2 for his learning to speak and for other children for speech, learning to speak early and signing as well !! and these are a low cost -$40 I believe, if you buy both Check Library first also Also Signing Time series ..set up subtitles and it helps with speaking, reading and signing and if you put on the Spanish speaking option after your child has learned signs and English part.....it teaches SPANISH !! Search on eBay but really search as there is a site that sells at 1/2 the price for Signing Time or find someone who dVR or TIVOed this when it was on pBS a few years back But your child will learn words and songs and enjoy the videos. He always did with the Your Baby Can Read set I do not think the words are that great of a choice for the first words he reads but reading is reading...the brain is being stimulated..... You are interacting with your child you can sing together do the finger activities It is a great attempt truly However, considering just plain flash cards and singing your own songs or buying some music DVDs for toddlers etc. is gonna work pretty well for those struggling financially Or the other 2 above DVDs I give both 5 stars pLU SPLUS PLUS Baby Babble 1and 2 first then start with the beginning DVD for Signing Time if you are gonna spend this kind of money You will be glad you did !! Try to borrow from library first to see what i mean or find someone who has the set Also the other 2 dVDs sets I mentioned...see before buying...but i will warn you Baby Babble looks super cheesy but it took him from barely talking to saying the whole program out loud...not perfect but he WAS TALKING !!!!!! and he had memorized all of Baby Babble enough to ASK to watch it !!!! our experience and as a teacher I'm only so-so on YourBaby can Read I do hope I have helped you !!!

A couple of weeks ago my daughter broke our volume 2 DVD of your baby can read. I went on amazon optimistic that I could replace the DVD. I ordered it through a third party and when I recieved the disk, it was an older version of the DVD from 1998. I went to the website to see if I could send it back. Since it was distributed throgh a third party, I would have to contact them. I opened and played the DVD to see if was a difference at all. It was a big difference. I feel that I now am stuck with the DVD. I am now skeptical of buying anything third party from amazon. The cover of the DVD I recieved doesn't even look like the one I purchased on the web! This sucks. I feel like I just got scammed!

Wonderful!,
This review is from: Your Baby Can Read!, Vol. 2 (DVD)
My twins love these videos. I started off showing them vol. 1 when they were 9 months (now they are almost 1 1/2) and they would pay attention the entire time. One day I asked where their mouth was and they both pointed to their mouths without me ever telling them where it is. I was amazed! My daughter can read a few words and I have yet to do the flashcards. I just got the second volume and the kids enjoyed it just as much as the first. Most of the time I watch the videos with them and interact with the videos to help the kids understand how to read and repeat the words. These videos are so educational and my children love them! What else could you ask for?!

contains about 50+ words such as body parts, animals, animal sounds, and action words. I just got it so I am not sure of the result but I can see where it will teach.
