Using his unique style of teaching and humor, Master Roadruck shares knowledge acquired through personal life experience and his work with a multitude of families. This book affords us the opportunity to be the best possible caretaker of our children and their future. It has often been said, kids don't come with instructions! This book is full of real step by step strategies to engage children of all ages and personalities. It introduces many simple ways to help families work as a team towards achieving a higher standard for themselves, both as individuals and as a unit.

As a mom of three, and a student of Master Roadruck over a nine month period, I have personally seen these techniques in action and their positive results. What I have found most remarkable is how the techniques transcend age and personality. Children from opposite ends of the personality spectrum are equally guided towards a balanced center where they are able to demonstrate their own personal best. Whether you are involved in a Martial Arts program or not, these techniques can be used successfully.

This book provides a map to being a decisive, benevolent leader empowering each person to create excellence within. By following these methods, children learn without being "told", that there is a consequence for every action. These tools allow the child the freedom to make a decision to act in a certain manner because it is then that they feel their best. Using these tools makes life with kids less adversarial. "Do this or time out" is transformed into a game for all where the parent is the finest coach and biggest fan of their child. It is a clear guide to setting and achieving goals for the relationship with your child, and possibly, more importantly, yourself.

I just finished Sifu Jeremy's book and it was frawesome! Our family has been attending his classes for a couple of months now and I've already started implementing a few of the strategies he talks about in the book and they are working! The transitions in the book aren't always terribly clear, but you get the point nonetheless. I'm very excited about the ideas and suggestions he wrote and am really looking forward to seeing some of them in action. Even though he doesn't have children, Sifu Jeremy has still got a better handle on parenting than many parents I've seen.

I have known and have been training with Sifu Jeremy for two years, and have seen him apply material in this book in action.
The title says it all: knowing what we want and focusing our effort on that instead of fighting what we do not want, in ourselves, and others, including children, is the way to achieve outstanding results. The title of the book defines what we want children to become, and the book shows how to achieve those results in a positive "warm, big, and happy" way for both the children and the caregivers.

In a few words ... this book was about "uncommon
sense."

I've attended numerous seminars and read many books.
I've always felt that if I could get just one useful idea or strategy that I
could use to move me closer to my goals, then I got my money's worth. This book
greatly exceeded my expectations and left me with AT LEAST 8-10 strategies (I
didn't have before) that I can (and will) execute to make my relationship with
my family even more rewarding than it already is.

The author helped me see my relationship with my son
from a totally different perspective and recognize both blind spots and
opportunities for significant improvement I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.
The message was content-rich without a bunch of fluff.

I expected specific tools, strategies and practical
applications. The book delivered.

For a guy without kids ... the author gets it. I
tried playing a self-control game with my son and he thought it was fun ... and
wanted to keep playing.

What I got that I DIDN'T expect was the author's
ability to shine the spotlight on some very important communication signals
between me and my son that were hiding in plain sight. Thumbs up!

Mason

It may seem a little unusual that an instructor of Kung Fu has authored a parenting book and it becomes even less plausible if you realize that Jeremy has never been married or had children of his own.

Ah, but the truth is, he has had many "kids" as he shares. As a second line Success Coach (as he calls himself), he has helped many kids and parents achieve more success in their lives using the principles he has learned from Kung Fu and other success coaches like Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, and Stephen Covey.

Sifu Jeremy addresses parents as first line Success Coaches as those most likely to help their children with the aim of success in life. In fact, he shares that we are our
"child's first example of what it means to be a successful human being."

He further shares with us the "HOW" of playing the game to win in raising happy, healthy, wise, wealthy, and safe children while keeping us from going insane at this daunting task of raising successful human beings. He teaches you wisdom from ancient masters of training such "Haih Tung" or "Saan Sau" and how his methods will help you to raise stable, centered, and confident children by teaching the fundamentals of "building games" using Boundaries, Energy (or rules), Time and our Bodies to put us in position to WIN!

In reading the book, you'll quickly become aware of the Sifu's poignant wisdom as well as his whimsical and playful humor - all done with the intent of educating and serving us in the game of raising great human beings.

Although it's a small volume, make no mistake that Jeremy has packed much value in the book beginning from the very first part of his book as he gives tips as well as exercises to help you to win the game.
