5.0 out of 5 stars A fresh breath of faith!
I just finished this book a few days ago. I was sad to reach the end but I'm going to keep it because I know I'll want to read it again a few times a year. 2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing devotional
I'm writing this review having read the first three devotions in this book. I want my money back! Nowhere does Osteen give credit to God. He tells you that you can depend entirely on yourself, to just imagine and wish for what you want and it will be yours. All your dreams will come true.

Please don't waste your money on this book. This man is trying to...

5.0 out of 5 stars A fresh breath of faith!, September 1, 2006
I just finished this book a few days ago. I was sad to reach the end but I'm going to keep it because I know I'll want to read it again a few times a year. Don't skip the recommended Bible reading at the beginning of every devotion. Pastor Osteen's enthusiasm and faith are contagious. If you read this book with a pure and open heart, it will completely change your outlook. I can't imagine a better way to start the day. The author has such a pure heart and deep faith that many scoff and ridicule him, but I don't care. The ways of the Lord are foolishness to those who are perishing!

5.0 out of 5 stars Set Yourself Up for a Successful Day, January 26, 2006
One daily dose of devotion from this inspiring book will set you up for a day of optimism and peace.

Each reading gives you a portion of scripture to study, a quote from scripture, a moving story, and finally a prayer.

Together, these elements help the reader to focus on "God's favor" in their lives, and in having an "attitude of gratitude" --even when times are tough.

If you're looking for an easy spiritual practice you can use daily, here's your book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Reading!, December 9, 2005
By

"90 Devotions for Living at Your Full Potential" is packed with daily devotional scriptures that will lead you to a better life now (or soon). Very similar to his previous book, "7 Steps Program," it gears you to acheive more, look further, climb higher, think wider, be happier and much more. But with this, you get a scripture in the beginning and a "small" prayer at the end. It's like having a pastor speak to you everyday, except packed in a book.

What I like most about Joel Osteen's books/sermons is the fact that he can make "hard to describe" Bible scriptures into simple everyday language. If you seen him talk on t.v., you know what I mean. Osteen can make you feel like life is easy to live, which indeed it does. We just have to change the way we look, feel and act on life. That's what this book is about (but with genuine Bible verses) If you have to get one of the the two, I say get this one, no doubt about it. I gain so much more knowledge on the Bible scriptures as well as insights to what they mean. This book is nothing new from his previous book. Osteen simply backed up with some Bible verses from both Old and New Testament. The earlier you read this, the better. "May this devotional book be instrumental in helping you to live your best life now" pg vii

4.0 out of 5 stars Great format for a quick dose of inspiration and encouragement, August 15, 2006
Although many of the stories and quotes are the same as in his book Live your best Life now, this book is a nice one to keep at work and read a chapter or two throughout the day - they are short and provide a quick spiritual boost. I am still amazed how many of Joel's ideas, thoughts, principles are aligned with new thought teachings. No wonder so many Christian readers criticize Joel. God never intended us to be poor. Yes, we should not hoard material things and attach to them but that does not mean we are meant to be anything less than abundant. It means that we should accept our divine inheritance, share it with others and trust that there is no reason for us to hoard as God will always provide us with everything we need whenever we need it. We are not helping anyone in poverty or other debilitating circumstances by joining them! On the contrary, we can help others by living abundantly and sharing our prosperity in time, talent and treasure. I feel blessed having come across this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a boost in faith.

This is a wonderful cd. Joel does not tell you how to be rich. He lets you know that anything is possible if you believe and set you mind on it. God makes all things possible. YOU decide what you want in life and GOD will make it happen. Never settle.

4.0 out of 5 stars Daily devotionals, December 7, 2006

(3 audiobook series -- Also in book form)

Life has a way of dragging us down some days, even those of us who love and honor God. But if Christians would walk in the full power of God, we would rise above life and its circumstances.

Now, what was only available in Joel Osteen's bestselling Your Best Life Now, is broken into inspirational readings short enough to listen while brushing your teeth, but deep enough to dwell upon all day. This three CD series, covers topics such as enlarging our vision, realizing the power of our thoughts and words, and turning our adversities into opportunities for growth. The audio book, read by the author, is of good sound and quality.

Daily Readings from Your Best Life Now is intended to be listened to in short, two-minute snippets daily for 90 days. As a devotional it is quite good. But it can be so much more than that. I found myself just leaving it on continuous play in my van so that my children and I were listening to constant, biblical encouragement whenever we were on the go.

With scripture references and a prayer for each message, there is a strong foundation for the words of encouragement he gives.

Armchair Interviews says: If daily biblical encouragement is what you need, this audio book is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it, April 14, 2006
Absolutely awesome book, I have the book "Your Best Life Now", and to be honest the devotional is much better, it has the same info as the other one, but the devotional with bible verses and prayers are an easy daily read. Joel is an outstanding preacher/author; I look forward to more books.

This book is absolutely fantastic. It's an awesome tool to be used over 90 days. Kind of a lesson for each day. I would recommed you read it first thing in the morning. It will only take ten minutes and you'll start your day on the right track. I recommend anything from Joel Osteen.
