Yo, Your Body's A Wonderland!,

It might be a great phrase to start a fight in a bar, turn heads, and/or make you lose your man card, but this is Mayer's most cheesiest song and a catchy pop track that put him on the map, which is rather strange considering his current blues rock path he's been travelling. But, there is an ever so brief flash of greatness in a short electric solo toward the bridge that is just a glimpse of what's to come.
But, judging by the lyrics, if I was a girl, I wouldn't know whether to think if I would want my man to sing this, or if it's just a bit too creepy. And of course, the music video is classic teen heartthrob Mayer, making all the ladies swoon, with his good looks, and his rather loud hinting. It's definitely a bad song to karaoke too, a good teenage lovemaking melody-type thing going on, and the darn cheesiest thing he's ever made. Take it as is, because there's no other way to take it. And amazingly, this song still pops up on radio every once in a while, so apparently it sticks. |
