Your Chicken is Cooked: 125 Time-Saving Recipes Featuring Rotisserie Chicken Paperback – February, 2004
Your Chicken Is Cooked is an impressive collection of 125 varied and delicious recipes presented with direct and unambiguous instructions. -- Mid-West Book Review, January, 2004
About the Author
With an MBA in operations management, Ms. Brimmer is an unlikely candidate to write a traditional cookbook, but the perfect person to write a cookbook that's truly useful for cooks of all skill levels who are tired of cookbooks with recipes that don't work in a real home kitchen.
The book was also written to give people a laugh and teach them a few things not commonly known about selecting, handling and storing food safely.
Your Chicken is Cooked was conceived while Ms Brimmer carried her first child. Working hard to launch a new software product, dinner was often rotisserie chicken and salad or steamed vegetables. Your Chicken is Cooked was literally created from the leftovers.
Quitting her career and with time on her hands, Ms. Brimmer decided to fulfill her dream and write a book. Assembling a team of talented book designers and editors, she put her past project management experience to the test and published it too!
Buy the book at Amazon.com or choose the Marketplace option, and receive an autographed First Edition. Either way, you're bound to enjoy, Your Chicken is Cooked!

Don't be fooled by the title to the book. In addition to all the chicken based recipes the book also includes several dessert recipes that are chicken free. All the recipes are reasonably fast and most take twenty minutes or less to prepare. "Your Chicken is cooked" is highly recommended for busy people or anyone looking for great tasting ways to use leftover chicken.
I will be telling all my "foodie" friends about this book and will show it off at my next cooking club dinner.
Lauren Rae Brimmer answers all these questions, 125 times. Just get a rotisserie chicken, and you probably have the other ingredients on hand. Lunches, soups, appetizers, main dishes, and more.
I especially appreciate the detailed information in the back of the book concerning all manner of information that we need to know (such as "how long does it keep?").
My next question: When will Lauren focus her attention on another food basic, and share the results with us?
Your Chicken is Cooked is a fun cookbook to have around if you enjoy buying Rotisserie Chicken. By buying cooked chicken, you can save hours of time when making dinner or lunch. Each recipe calls for cooked chicken, but you could also just cook your own chicken at home or use leftover chicken from a baked chicken. Either way, you can enjoy recipes for:
Classic Chicken Caesar Salad
Toasted Chicken Sandwiches
Chicken Fried Rice
Chicken and Asparagus Casserole
Grandma's Apple Pie
No-Fat New York Cheesecake
Chocolate Coconut Custard
Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding
Lauren Rae Brimmer also includes a brief history of chicken, includes notes on each recipes and has sprinkled food quotes throughout the recipes. An enjoyable read from cover to cover. Saves time and the recipes have easy-to-follow instructions and variations.
