My family and I have been reading these for years now and I keep being surprised about the accuracy e.g. of general character types. Its a fun thing to share with friends and family and has helped me get a general feel for the coming year.
I do believe we are all so individual that its hard to generalize, but I do recognize trends - especially when reading through it at the end of the year as a review of the year... and that has been fun. Some of the "trends" help me feel more "human": "well, its just that kind of year"...

For the people who enjoys Chinese horoscope, Somerville consistently wrote some uncannily accurate materials in the past. Like most horoscopes, his gives more advices than predictions, and more things makes sense AFTER the date than beforehand (yup, I do go back a few times a year to review his comments vs. what happened to me). Somethings don't change, e.g. for my birth sign, his description of my personally is nearly 90%+ on-the-money and that alone have me coming back for over 7 years just to take a peek ahead. In general, I find all very entertaining and Somerville's version is by far better than his competitions.

According to my Chinese friend, this horoscope is very similar to the report his grandmother gets from the Chinese Temple. She goes for the Annual prediction for her family every year. Am glad that Neil is once again making his books available in the US.
