"Is Your Church Heavenly?" is a current day application of Christs seven letters to the seven churches in Revelation. Each chapter opens with Scripture, gives background on the city, offers expository discussion, poses challenging questions, shares antidotal stories and presents application ideas. John began writing this book while waiting for Jesus to return to Galilee in January, 2005. Everyone involved with "Is Your Church Heavenly?" hopes and prays that this book will help bring the light of Christ into your church and into the world.

About the Author
John Meacham, a lay pastor in the Presbyterian Church, has a heart for serving the Lord and others in the body of Christ. Whether John is preaching, teaching, leading small groups, facilitating workshops or writing, his personal relationship with God has been made richer by following his calling. John resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with Sue, his cherished wife of thirtyfour years. Their sons Brian and James are both married, and their granddaughter Emma is a constant delight. The Meachams are both originally from Hickory, North Carolina. They are graduates of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and are very active in their church. When their busy schedules allow, they love spending time together in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

As a leader of an adult Sunday School class, it is always good to find fresh new material for study. John Meachum has developed a study which we found to be very thought provocing and stimulated much discussion for our class. In our time as members of Christ's kingdom, we must ask ourselves if we are being led by heaven bound leaders in our church. I am certain that you will also find this study stimulating and eye opening.

Is Your Church Heavenly?: A question from Christ for Every Christian by John Meacham was one of the best book/group study guides I've ever read. John's visions from God that lead him to Galilee for the revelations he received to write this book are incredible. Not only does Jesus Christ want to know from each of us if the church we belong to is a "heavenly" church, HE reveals in the Bible through the letters to the seven churches how we can measure where our church fits in. John gives us clear direction on how to evaluate and repair our church to meet God's standard.This book, study guide combination is a must for all Christian church members. The book stands on its own but the study guide is the "cream." What an awesome combination.
