5.0 out of 5 stars a joy and a blessing to read, July 2, 2007
This review is from: Your Deepest Intent: Letters from the Infinite (Hardcover)
I am always a bit suspicious of books that purport to be channeled from God, Jesus, or high spiritual begings from the Great Beyond. Your Deepest Intent isn't exactly such a book, yet its author, Rev. Deborah Johnson writes that her words "Come to me from Pure Spirit as a conversation in the form of letters." What impresses me about this book is not its seeming Source, it is the transformative power of its words. Your Deepest Intent inspires me to clarify and purify my own deepest intent.

This book includes so many catalysts for personal and planetary transformation, integrated into a cohesive whole, that all I can do here is give one a flavor of some of the topics covered. Here's a few: Intent moves desire into manifestation; Understand how to be a miracle, not just have one; Maintaining possibility consciousness is your primary responsibility; Opportunities to purify your heart are your answered prayers; You are not punished for your mistakes, you are punished by them; Look for Truth, not the lie you want to discredit; Act like you know what you know; True abundance is knowing that you are enough; You project your sins onto others, then sacrifice them; The people of America need to examine their deepest intent; Democracy is about empowering all, not winnning by simple majority, Come a little higher to see the whole picture.

Your Deepest Intent is not a spiritual comfort food book that fills one up (yet its premise is that we are always already in the arms of God, and peace comes through realizing and remaining faithful to this truth). This book is more like a fine wine that is best approached with care and sensitivity. It was a joy and a blessing to read this book.

I enjoyed reading this book and her first, which is the first volume of this series. I find the information interesting and certainly worthy of our focused attention. There were times when the information seemed to be directly for the author and I was not totally certain that it could be useful/applicapable to me or the reader, but upon further study I feel that it is possible to see how it "could" cross over. There seems to be a great number of individuals out there hearing the word of God and I appreciate all of the writers who take time to share it with us who wait for the direction, help, affirmations, truths, and wisdom it imparts. This does it beautifully. It is uplifting, hopeful, and right to the point.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some interesting ideas., August 19, 2008
This review is from: Your Deepest Intent: Letters from the Infinite (Hardcover)
If I were 20 I'd love it. This book feels like "Conversations With God" books but not nearly as good. I recommend Neale's first and third if you're a younger reader. There is truth in this book but it is through the filter of someone at an ethnocentric level of development. At times the writing is even condescending and preachy and moralizing. Sometimes she writes interesting tidbits like "awareness transcends intelligence", food for thought for readers of any social and spiritual level.

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing Spiritual Journey, September 17, 2011

Reverend Deborah L. Johnson's book, "Your Deepest Intent: Letters from the Infinite" delivers what it promises. This book is a compilation of letters from "God" or "Spirit" revealed to Rev. Johnson whom I know personally as a deeply spiritual person of high integrity. Of all the books to own and read, this is the one! It is an amazing spiritual journey you don't want to miss!

Sometimes you come across a book that can't seem to put down and you juggle your life to keep reading. This is not one of those types of books, but rather one that you can savor a bit each day and really think about. I often find myself reading different entries more than once and sometimes going back to look something up when a particular event in my life triggers a rememberance. This is not one of those books you would read and promptly get rid of, but one that you keep on your shelf a as a deep reflective reference book.

I love this book. I bought both of her books in this theme. However, this is the one that I refer to the most often. They always speak to me exactly where I am in the moment.
