5.0 out of 5 stars This book ROCKS, December 16, 2008
This review is from: Your Dream Job Game Plan: Five Tools for Becoming Your Own Career Agent (Paperback)
Excellent book about how to REALLY find a REAL job in the REAL world. Especially helpful in this economy. Even though it's geared toward college grads, it's extremely helpful advice for everyone of all ages. I have my own copy and now am ordering as gifts for lots of other people I know.

Having certified with The Protocol School of Washington to teach business etiquette and international protocol, I take great interest in the methods other professionals use to teach and inspire their clients. I will highly recommend Molly Fletcher's book to my younger Business Etiquette Institute students because they will appreciate her "Combine respect with guts" approach. The five tools made perfect sense for those interested in landing a job, keeping a job and/or advancing in a job. Would Ms. Fletcher consider selling some of her indefatigable energy to this more senior entrepreneur?

This review is from: Your Dream Job Game Plan: Five Tools for Becoming Your Own Career Agent (Paperback)
I recently completed my MBA and the career counselor recommended that I read Your Dream Job Game Plan. This book gave me the added insight and guidance that I needed to find a rewarding job in a profession that I had always dreamed! I highly recommend this book to anyone who is in a job search and wants to do the same.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good if you know your passion, August 20, 2011
This review is from: Your Dream Job Game Plan: Five Tools for Becoming Your Own Career Agent (Paperback)
This is a great book if you know your passion but don't know how to parlay it into a job. It won't be as useful if you are struggling to figure out what your passion is. There is a short chapter with suggestions on how to discover what you are passionate about...but the book will be most valuable to those who are already there. Molly Fletcher offers five valuable tools for putting your dream into action. Much of her advice is offered in other career books, but I like the way she uses the sports analogies to get her points across. I also like her examples and scripts which include "The Right Approach" and "The Wrong Approach." Networking and who-you-know is a big part of this book as well as having a lot of chutzpah.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW...Great inspirational read!, October 19, 2009

This review is from: Your Dream Job Game Plan: Five Tools for Becoming Your Own Career Agent (Paperback)
I met Molly Fletcher at a book signing earlier this year and she gave a fun, exciting overview of her book and her own "Dream Job". Right off the bat I was very interested since Molly represents some of my all-time favorite sports celebrities (Tom Izzo, John Smoltz, etc). The book is a great read and full of outstanding advice.

I personally have already found my own "Dream Job" as president of a hotel company, but I regularly speak with and coach students and others about the importance of finding a job that you are really passionate about and then working hard to create your own opportunities and to accomplish all of your goals. Molly's book says it better than I ever could, so I recommend it often! Great Job, Molly!
