Book Description

October 12, 2005
Your Dreams on Fire is a call to action to the exhausted refugees of Boomer World, many who have achieved all their goals but found them unable to satisfy the real hunger of their lives and to a generation with new ideals and changing values, Gen21 (aged 15-40), who find themselves longing for five things. 1. We want relationships and families that work. 2. We want a lifestyle we both value and enjoy. 3. We want a career that embodies our dream. 4. We want growth, and 5. We want real leadership. We want the tools to reinvent ourselves and our lives as often as we choose in this constantly changing world. Your Dreams on Fire gives you those tools.

Your Dreams on Fire shows you how to think differently about your dreams, inspires you to understand how your current circumstances are being transformed, how your unique abilities, talents and traits reveal your deepest desires, how the small things add up to the big things and how to create a life of Greatest Total Value.

This is a challenge. A call to action. It is time, right now, to open our eyes to what we’ve refused to look at. To say what we have not said. To choose something better than the course we are on. To reclaim your American Dream.

The secret to reigniting your American Dream lies not in changing the world, but in changing your world, changing yourself. Learning to listen to our souls. Learning to stand for something. Being authentic. That’s all you and I can do.

Change yourself, change the world.

About the Author

"What do you really want?" "No … What does your soul long to accomplish?" There was no getting away from the question. He wanted an honest answer, not some made-up, leave-me-alone, you-can't-be-serious answer.

William Marrè, co-founder and former president of the Covey Leadership Center, has posed the question to thousands of people ranging from students to janitors to CEOs of multi-billion dollar companies. This question is at the foundation of Will's recently launched American Dream Project, and educational initiative focused on re-igniting the American Dream in the 21st Century. This groundbreaking initiative is aimed at a new generation of leaders, professionals, and students who want to make an impact and are looking for a blueprint for a life they both value and enjoy. It's something Will is extremely passionate about. And, people have a strong tendency to listen.

Why? At the age of just 25, Will Marrè bought a business for a dollar and built it into a multi-million dollar manufacturer. Will then co-founded the Covey Leadership Center, now Franklin Covey, with Stephen Covey creating "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" audio and video programs which have been used to train millions worldwide, and packaged the book which has sold over 15 million copies. During his years at the Covey Leadership Center, Will started the Masters of Executive Excellence seminar and created Leadership Week for Senior Executives, which has run continuously since 1987. In 1992, Will was recruited by the American Quality Foundation, an organization of U.S. companies including General Motors, AT&T, and Disney to develop "The Stuff Americans Were Made Of," a national quality initiative for knowledge workers and executives.

Will is currently a Leadership Advisor to CEO’s of Fortune 500 companies and is the CEO of REALeadership Alliance, a consultancy of diverse experts that helps leaders identify, communicate and implement the driving "big idea." Through Leadership Brand Stories, Brand Charities, Brand Documentaries, Thought Leadership Events and websites, Will links corporate character to strategy to foster a platform for enduring growth.
