This book is not a repair manual. It is a compendium of common problems and their solutions for MGB owners. It is really well written guidebook helping one to figure out what is causing that rattle, knock or whine somewhere on the MGB. There is a mountain of useful advice and diagnosis, but don't expect this book to tell you how to fix the problem step by step. For that you need a workshop manual, but on the other hand, a workshop manual will not help you very much to find the problem. That is why this book is a gem and a must buy for any non-expert MGB owner/mechanic. I can't wait for more books in this series to be published for other vintage British sports cars.

I went online to check out recommended books on MGB's. This was "THE" one that was preferred for general maintenance. I changed out the fuel filter on my car and it wouldn't start. Local repair shops didn't even want to look at it even though I suspected debris from the filter plugging the carb. This book told me EXACTLY how to fix it! It probably saved me a few hundred dollars right there!

Well worth the investment!!

For those of us who own and tinker with an MGB, this is a great trouble shooting guide. It goes beyond what the Bentley and Haynes manuals offer. I am planning to keep this in my MGB together with essential tools for road trips.

Nice quality book, useful information, especially if combined with the repair manual as it points you in the right direction.

Having an MGB is an anomaly, that is laughed at by old folks (50 somethings) and oohed and aahed at by kids who have no clue what it is. This book has become a life saver and veritable treasure chest of help. Get it if you can. Especially if you have a MG...........

This book is also a good place to start if you are restoring an MG. Very Helpful book
Would recomend the 3 books Amazon advertizes. The other Williams book

great book covers things other books dont,.is pricy $$$
but,. should be part of your MGB library,.

I've sent Amazon several notes asking why the published list price on the back cover (look for yourself) is $29.95 yet they claim it's $49.95. The special "discount" price is still over list. Buyer beware.
