I have had this product for about six months now. I purchased it originally to mount my iPhone 3G to my wheelchair. This product's versatility allowed me a wide array of places I could mount it to secure my phone in a usable position. But I was somewhat limited by the weak strength of the clip. As a result, I had to also secure the flexible shaft with a strap to keep my phone from moving around too much. For me this was a minor detail, considering mounting to a metal tube is a difficult thing to do with a spring-loaded clip alone. The clip design is such that it is very good at clipping to flat surfaces due to the use of hinges and rubber pads, but not so much so for curved surfaces.

My main complaint is their use of plastic for the clip. I thought I was paying the extra money to upgrade from a cheap plastic mount to something more durable, which unfortunately was not the case. It was not long before part of the spring-loaded hinge was broken irreparably, whereas metal construction would have been more appropriate for such a vulnerable area (hinge between the two halves of the clip and containing the spring).

Regardless, this product will serve most people well for occasional and even moderate use, but may not hold up too well to prolonged everyday use.

**Edit - shortly after I posted this review I received a replacement in the mail, which has so far been much more durable. At this point it seems more likely I will be replacing my phone before this mount wears out. It has weathered the last couple years well.

Here's to hoping that the iPhone 5, whenever it shows up, will also fit this mount.

Also, I'd like to send a well-deserved thank you to the merchant for sending a replacement on their own initiative. I am definitely a satisfied customer.

We searched the web trying to find a product such as this to clip on to our NordicTrack. The device has been performing remarkably solid for past two weeks and we enjoyed it. it held on to the surface tight and did not shake while we ran on the treadmill. We like it so much we ordered a second one!

I have been using this product since I found it at Macworld this year. I love it! I throw it in my purse and take it with me everywhere. I take it the gym and use it when I am running on the treadmill. I have also taken it on a plain trip a few months back and people were asking where they could get one.

I really like the In Your Face iPhone holder. It is strong and versatile. I even used it to hold my iPhone on my bike handle bars while using a cycling app and it worked flawlessly. I work at my computer all day and I clamp my iPhone so that it appears just to the left of my monitor and I have not missed a text message or call since then.



*Update - I accepted J. Andrade's $100 challenge to prove with a video that I could mount my iPhone4 to the handle bars of my bike with the In Your Face flexible holder. Granted this is an extreme use of the holder but I believe it clearly demonstrates the strength and durability of the In Your Face holder.

*Update - Three days later and I have not heard a word (or received a penny) from J. Andrade. I stand by my HONEST recommendation of In Your Face. :)

I can only compare this to iFlyz, which I used on an airplane and other places. The iFylz device's suction cup was offputting simply because you never knew when your device would lose suction and fall face-down. It's also a bit flimsy.

I was pleased to receive the In Your Face media holder very fast after ordering it. It's much more sturdy than the iFlyz, and has padded clamps that protect the surface you clamp it to.

I feel 100% more comfortable placing my iPhone or iPod into its clamp. I never did place my iPhone on the iFlyz device because the thought of that falling to the ground would give me a mild heart attack.

I plan to not only use this IYF device frequently for video viewing, but also at my desk. I have my cell phone on vibrate at work, but miss messages when I don't hear the vibration. This way I can see the incoming messages when they kick the phone out of sleep mode and light up the screen.

Pro: clamp allows placement in varied locations.
Hold iphone 3gs well at angle of your choice.

Cons: Not strong enough to hold iphone 3gs c Mophie Juicepack air.

Useless clamp broke right away. I tried to tie wrap it to my mirror and that didn't work either. This is garbage. I should be refunded double the purchase price for the fraud presented that this thing would work.

no more holding your itouch for hours on long flights or fumbling to keep your itouch on the tray table while you do other things. this is PERFECT for flights. keeps the video near your view and out of your tray and work area. i never travel without it!!!

the product is firm, strong and perfect for comfort.EXPECT for a strong hold and good stability. it is useful for office works or any table works, i do not suggest for car use "unstable".

I use this in my two cars, at home, and in the office. I'm looking forward to using on a flight to Japan soon.
The people at "inyourface" are also first class in providing customer service. prompt communication and very sensitive to the customer.
