"This is fabulous!" -- Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton

From the Author

How many of us are obsessed with food, fat, weight, carbs, fats, calories, cellulite, scales, and disgust for our bodies? Most of us, I dare say. Has all of this obsessing and experimentation with diets du jour helped us to become thin and beautiful? Maybe for a minute!

Powerful and influential research recently found that sugar and fat relieve chronic stress on a biological level. Chocolate cake and ice cream simply shut down the stress system, bringing relief and relaxation. Therefore, we must learn how to manage the foods we crave instead of overindulging or depriving ourselves.

It's time to find a unique, personal, individualized food plan designed to find your ideal weight, and stay there....forever. It's time to stop denigrating ourselves, and replace criticism with self acceptance and peace of mind.

It is important to fight this battle on several fronts. We need to address what to consume, as well as how to cope with emotional eating. It is also important to begin changing the cultural thin ideal, which creates a sense of personal inferiority, upon which the billion dollar diet industry thrives.

Your Final Diet IS fabulous! Finally, a book that tells you how to stop the crazy cycle of endless diets. This book is an absolute must-read for anyone who is thinking of going on a diet, on a diet, or just struggling with weight and body image. This book is like really inexpensive therapy! Dr. Aronowitz's style is conversational and witty and the book is full of good, practical advice and insights. One of the best parts of the book is her list of healthy junk foods. These ARE wonderful (and, better yet, they're guilt free.) Your Final Diet is a tremendous book, an entertaining read and truly a blessing for the weight and diet-obsessed among us.

As a 36-year veteran of the health and fitness industry, I was delighted to see this book. It is a down-to-earth, commonsense approach to losing weight without eliminating any of the essential food groups. It does not prohibit the consumption of your favorite foods but, rather, it stresses the inclusion of "healthy junk foods" in your diet. After all, taste counts! Is it any wonder that so many weight loss programs fail when they taste so bland!?!
This is a "must read" for anyone who has been struggling with weight. Your Final Diet is, indeed, the last word in weight loss without all the gimicks, without having to buy special foods, and without starving.

Your book is selling for a penny. I wonder why. Once again, a book giving people the "easy to do" somewhat doable approach to dieting. Obviously, if it was only about counting calories, we would all be eating doughnuts and chocolate and losing "weight." C'mon. I guess if you want to be covered in cellulite and malnourished, this is a great read. People who write crap like this are the people who are confusing Americans into thinking that they can eat whatever they want. screw nutrition, screw chemistry break down of foods in your body. Screw addictions, disease, etc.

Your Final Diet I discovered this book because I read an article by the author, Dr. Abby Aronowitz, PhD in the magazine "Going Bonkers." I liked the article so much I got the book, and I was not disappointed. Dr. Aronowitz works with eating disorder patients, and it's easy to see why her sound, reasonable advice works. Every weight-obsessed woman should read this book. It's very helpful and practical, breaking healthy eating down to a system that's easy to understand, with explanations of why sugar is better for your weight than sweeteners, and how to deal with uncontrolled cravings. I'm currently working with a nutritionist, and Dr. Abby's views are consistent with what I'm learning, and give a very helpful look at the issues from a different angle. This is just a simple, clear, cogent and helpful book, more about a philosophy of eating that you can live with, and not really about dieting.

This woman is very preoccupied with --ahem-- self love, if you will. She devotes an entire chapter to it. Besides that, no real diet, just basic common sense stuff most women who have dieted all their lives already know. I realize it's important that we all need to accept ourselves the way we are, yadda, yadda, yadda, but come on, get real. I recommend Weight Watchers if you really need to lose weight for your health. If you just have a little to lose, try The Rotation Diet. Both are much more practical, structured and time-tested so they really work.
