Hardcore Haven...,
By Jimmy (British Columbia Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Your Ghost Is a Gift (Audio CD)
This is by far one of the best hardcore releases of this year so far. I enjoy a lot of Ferret record artists and this one sure didn't dissappoint. They have a good style with tempo changes that remind me of KSE. A great debut from this band which I hope will grow and improve on their already great sound in the future. Be sure to pick this one up if you're a fan of Killswitch, Remembering Never or any hradcore in general!

Giving it their all!!,
This review is from: Your Ghost Is a Gift (Audio CD)
I've been a hardcore fan for a while and picked up this album on sale for 7 bucks! I will let everyone know right now that this is good enough to put Remembering Never's new album out of it for me. I remember listening to the first couple of tracks thinking "Yeah this is good." but then it wasn't until I got to song 8 that it just kicked my face in and then I knew I loved it. This album never lets up it's ferocious sound and balls-out instinct. Ferret have always produced some great talent and they will continue to do it I know. Don't hesistate to pick this one up if you see it, they do sound like PTW and Remembering Never but I think they give it their own on this and the result is just a good album.

How does Ferret keep doing it?,

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Ferret Records continues to amaze me with the new bands they sign. Ligeia is case in point, very reminiscent of old Poison the well. Yeah, you can definitely tell this band counts that older band as in influence. Lyrical topics are pretty much the same, nothing new there, but the vocals completely floored me, as well as the music, which is melodic but heavy at the same time.
