DISC 1, Tracks 1 - 12 are pre-released "best of" selection from FFAF's EP's and albums over the past 7 years. The selection is faultless (keeping in mind you have to have some from every album etc.) So if you don't know FFAF, this truly is the best starting point.

Tracks 13 - 16 are new, unreleased tracks! The "sound" of FFAF has evolved over the years, and all 4 tracks have a "sound" most like that of "Memory and Humanity." So if you old skool FFAF fans were after some early sounding stuff, sorry. But don't worry, all four tracks are AWESOME and still have the FFAF sound we've all come to love!

DISC 2 is 20 tracks, most pre-released as b-sides. The songs vary in style and production quality. The songs are listed in chonological order so they don't really "fit" together well. Even if they did list the songs from heavy/well produced to demo quality/acoustic the disc still wouldn't flow very well. But who still listens to the songs straight from the CD anyway?! Just alter your mp3 playlist to suit you! :)

The only way this b-side and rarities disc could be better is if they ditched some of the songs I've rated poorly below and replaced them for absent tracks like "Damage Inc." (Metallica cover - featured on "Remastered" a tribute to Metallica's 'Master of the Puppets" album), "Miracle of Christmas" (recorded for "A Taste of Christmas" compilation, "Crash and Burn" (the post-demo version - only available on the Japanese bonus track release of "Tales Don't Tell Themselves") and most of all "Juneau (acoustic)" - as seen/heard in their DVD "Spilling Blood in 8mm"

5.0 out of 5 stars Great collection from one of the best bands ever, October 13, 2009
This review is from: Your History Is Mine: 2002-2009 (2 CD Set) (Audio CD)
You get the added bonus of four brand new songs here, and they only included three songs from the past two blandish albums. The new songs are the real treat, new bass player is good and the song direction seems to be back on track.
