He expertly identifies techniques of healthcare that make healthy aging not only possible but probable. An excellent and practical source for actualizing your own health." (— George Goodheart, DC, founder of Applied Kinesiology)

"Having been treated by Dr. Blaich over a period of twenty years, many of the principles demonstrated in his book have been proven in terms of my own health. (—Jackson Browne, singer and musician)

With his knowledge, patience, expertise, and healing hands, he has helped me attain the priceless state of integrated well-being, which has contributed to athletic achievement I never expected. A huge thank you to Dr. Blaich" (— Ellen Hart Pena, public speaker, attorney, and Olympic trials participant)

"There are billions of words written on health and healthcare. Where can health consumers possibly get their hands around the subject? The answer is here in Dr. Blaich's masterfully written, well-organized, and well-illustrated book. A rare and fortunate find for today's bewildered healthcare consumer." (— Scott Walker, DC, founder of NeuroEmotional Techniques)

"Robert Blaich has written a book about health—the real meaning of it—and about aging. He is worth everyone's time, even if, like me, one is a doubter. Unlike people with miracle diets or theories to fix parts of your life, Dr. Blaich shows us a total picture of how to live, making the most of what we have been given and balancing that with what we can do to minimize our individual shortcomings—those things that define us as much as our strengths do....Every time I stand before an orchestra and give an upbeat, I thank Robert Blaich. No matter what you do in your life, I believe you will thank him too." (— John Mauceri, conductor of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra)

"This book will benefit anyone interested in more good years of life, and that is all of us. Dr. Blaich's clear and interesting storytelling of the latest scientific evidence for natural and complementary approaches will hold your interest and change your life for the better." (— John F. Thie, DC, found of Touch for Health)

"One of the great memories I have of Bob is when he cautiously intruded into my life and invited himself to be my personal physician at the 1984 Olympic games. Looking back, I know that without his support, that day I won the gold would not have ended with the success that it did." (— Alexi Grewal, Olympic Gold Medalist in men's cycling)

"Dr. Blaich has presented a tremendous amount of material in Your Inner Pharmacy and explained it in a way that the average person can understand. I will definitely recommend this book to all my patients so that they can make more informed choices in deciding their healthcare options." (— James M. Kennedy, DDS, former president of the Holistic Dental Association)

I recently received a copy of >Your Inner Pharmacy< and read it in two sittings, which is unusual for me. I was intrigued by the statistics he offers--that nearly a third of the U.S. population suffers from chronic illness, most of which are "lifestyle" illnesses that we could easily cure or prevent with our own lifestyle changes. Also, that the #1 health threat in the U.S. is smoking. I loved the author's clear distinction between "medicine" and "healthcare:" "The field of medicine works to prevent and treat disease. It differs from true healthcare, which promotes health an optimal function of the body." Dr. Blaich's prescriptions for health include massage, chiropractic, acupuncture and other so called alternative practices. He does a great job of explaining--scientifically, but in easy to read layperson's terms--how these health systems work, why they work, and when to use them instead of standard medicine. This book is beautifully written. The greatest thing about it is that it lays out all the information we need to take charge of our own health. This is a book which will be spotlighted on my own health reference shelf for the rest of my life; it is already dogeared and underlined at places I want to remember. I can sincerely recommend it to anyone who wants to map out a healthcare plan for their own life. Many years ago, I co-authored The Well Body Book, with Dr. Mike Samuels. It was a national bestseller and certainly shared Dr. Blaich's approach to health. Your Inner Pharmacy, I must say, is a far better book than my own, giving a very grounded and practical prescription for taking responsibility for our health. I applaud this book enthusiastically and know it will serve thousands of people who want to live healthy lives.

"Your Inner Pharmacy" is a real eye-opener, especially for those of us reaching middle-age and facing the prospects of diminished health and reduced activity levels. It doesn't have to be that way! Dr. Blaich does a great job of explaining how incredibly inter-connected our bodies system's are, and the simple things we can do to maintain our own health and vitality.

I truly wish this book were required reading for health care industry professionals and health care practitioners. There are literally millions of dollars in health care industry cost savings in these pages.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Blaich's for several years and he has helped us manage our own health in ways we never would have understood if we had only followed traditional medical approaches. This book gives everyone a chance to better understand their own wellness.

I wanted to draw your attention to an interesting book if you also share an interest in energy medicine.

I first met Robert Blaich about the time I had taken the Level I course from Fred Gallo. I told Bob that I was curious about Applied Kinesiology and mentioned my interest in energy medicine (I don't think we called it that back then). He smiled and walked to his book shelf and came back with a signed copy of "The Five Minute Phobia Cure" in which Callahan credits Bob with teaching him Applied Kinesiology. In a later book Callahan credits Bob with discovering the "mini-reversal."

I have suggested Bob's book to those who are interested in an energy related approach to wellness. You will find Your Inner Pharmacy: taking back our wellness an interesting read. More than a "how to" book on wellness it addresses today's challenges for healthcare.

This is an amazing book about health. It teaches you that you can take control of you health without taking a pill. Western medicine is so quick to give a pill to fix your symptoms, but they never take a look at what causes the symptom in the first place. Dr. Blaich does a great job with explaining alternative medicine in a way that the average person can understand. I would definitely recommend reading this book!!

Your Inner Pharmacy was an easy read for me because Dr. Blaich doesn't just present facts and advice, he also tells a series of compelling stories about people he had treated (like Dr. Tom) and how their eyes were opened to the magic of alternative healing techniques curing their chronic maladies. Yet, Dr. Blaich points out that Traditional Western Medicine (TWM) does excel at acute care and trauma care. His overview of how these two treatment philosophies can complement each other is one of the most balanced I've encountered.

In a book of moderate length (237 pages) Dr. Blaich manages to shoehorn in a description of many cutting-edge alternative healing techniques (such as applied kinesiology and cranio sacral therapy), along with most of the health-creating and health-restoring habits and techniques a person would need to follow in order to enjoy a long and healthy life. This book can serve as one of the foundational references in one's personal health library, ideally to be re-read annually as a reminder of what would constitute a nearly ideal personal health regimen. I have read several hundred health-related books in my life, and this one rates as one of the best.
