This woman is the most sickening example of how the only difference between politics & religion is geography. She used her own brother, milked him for $$$, claimed she beat breast cancer by praying it away & convinced her sick brother that he didn't need cancer treatments. She lied in her book but when on the witness stand she admitted she was never diagnosed with any cancer. She used her brothers insurance money to pay for her daughters house & was sued for misappropriation of funds.. Horrible horrible EVIL woman. Forced her brother to die a painful death & overrode a DNR to let him die painfully. This woman is nothing but a snake oil salesman. I wouldn't trust her to pray for a pet rock.

YOUR LIFE FOLLOWS YOUR WORDS by Darlene Bishop is a book that teaches us to speak life into our lives. The words you speak have an impact on the life you lead. Christians who are saved, who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and savior, already have their needs met. Being a child of God allows you access to all the riches and glory in the world. The possibilities are endless on how your life can be abundantly blessed, if you only speak those things that are not as though they were.

When you begin to train yourself to speak positive affirmations into your life, you will begin to feel the presence of God surrounding you. Bishop even speaks of going on a negative fast to get accustomed to saying and thinking positive things. You should also remind God of the promises He made in the Bible. When you are sick, tell God that you are healed. Don't say I am going to be healed; say you ARE healed. Tell Him that you receive the healing in Jesus' name and that in His word He says " by His stripes you are healed". In any situation you may encounter in your lifetime, speak life into the situation and turn the negative into a positive. Afterall, your life follows your words.

God wants His children to prosper in all areas of their lives: physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially and mentally. An essential aspect of having a healthy happy life is to avoid negativity. Having negative thoughts, speaking negative words and surrounding yourself with negative people are things you need to let go and leave behind if you want happiness. By separating yourself from these things you are preparing yourself for a life of peace followed by abundant blessings.

YOUR LIFE FOLLOWS YOUR WORDS is a eye-opening novel that is life-changing. It helps you realize how influential the words you speak are to the life you will lead. Bishop shares how God healed her of breast cancer and other miracles that happened in her life because she spoke the words. She also shared a revelation that God gave her; she was given the vision of B.E.L.I.E.V.E, which stands for Because Emmanuel Lives I Expect Victory Everytime. As God's children, the victory is ours, in all aspects of our lives. A few years ago, I began distancing myself from negative people and began looking at the glass as half full. I have noticed a big difference in my life and the person I am today is alot happier than I was a few years back. Reading this book confirmed that what I was doing was the right thing. In every situation there is a positive and as a Christian it is our job to speak the positive in our life. Written in an easy to understand format backed by scriptural references, YOUR LIFE FOLLOWS YOUR WORDS is undeniably a must have that can change your life for the better.

This is a book, which is predicated on the inerrant Word of God, for true Believers only - because as we know, the Bible tells us things of God are "foolishness to those who are perishing". Without a relationship to God the teaching that pours from the pages of this book will fall on hearts that are hardened, eyes that are blinded and ears that are deaf. However, if you are a genuine Believer, please do not be deterred by the reviews of people that have not the ability to recieve the teaching and who I would dare venture to guess, have not even read the book.

I too have read the New York Times article with regard to Pastor Bishop's legal entanglements with her family and all. Firstly, I must say that I am not surprised by this action - no real Believer would be. Of course, we should expect the enemy of the our souls do whatever he can to stop this spiritual meal from being received and digested by the children of the Most High God - it is most empowering to the Believer as it reminds us of who we are in Christ, bringing to our remembrance the benefits that are ours alone and outlining, in a spiritual bootcamp fashion, how to skillfully wield our most powerful weapon - the very words we speak. Secondly, even if the allegations against Pastor Bishop are true, it does not mean the teaching isn't and is of no effect; afterall, the validity of this teaching and the character of this teacher are not neccesarily synonomous - Pastor Bishop is not the originator of this teaching - she did not make it up - she was chosen to unveil it for a time such as this. Now, because Pastor Bishop and I are family, related by our mutual standing in Christ, I give my sister every benefit of the doubt and fully expect her to be exonerated in due time, just as I would members of my natural family. However, if by some slim chance it is decided that she was involved in wrongdoing, I will stand in prayer for her, believing for her full restoration to her rightful place - afterall, as Believers, we are not perfect, only forgiven and contrary to the belief of many, still susceptible to sin, (that is doing those things that are contrary to the way and the will of God). Lastly, the fact that her brother went home to be with the Lord is not a bad thing - not for a Believer anyway! - Absent from the body, present with the Lord! Further, if I am not mistakened, Pastor Bishop's brother's illness was diagnosed in 2003, her book was copyrighted in 2004 - and Mr. Wayne went home to be the Lord in 2005 - how is this a failure! He was victorious! He did receive his healing! Do you all think a healing meant he was going to live forever?! NO!! He went on home to get his reward and is no doubt rejoicing even right now!

PRAYER DOES WORK-EVERYTIME! HOWEVER THE RESULT ONE RECEIVES IS ACCORDING TO ONE'S FAITH!

If you are a blood-bought, born-again Believer, than don't miss out on this feast that is prepared and spread out for you in the pages of this book - if you are not, don't bother to read it just now; instead take some time to consider Christianity and read the book of St. John in the Bible; then consider Christianity some more, believe God and accept your gift of salvation; read the Book of Romans; get in a good Bible-based church; start the process of renewing your mind to the things of God and know that someone in New Jersey is praying diligently for you. This is an excellent book and I will now become a reader of all of Darlene Bishop's literature. I have another book of hers but I haven't had a chance to read it yet. I am anticipating that it will be just as good or better than this one.

I have been going through a crisis in which I have needed God to come through for me. I knew the basic concept of faith, believing and speaking words of affirmation, but it was not cemented in my spirit until I read this book. I am still waiting for my miracle, but I KNOW that God will come through for me, and the journey is much more fulfilling. The stress and pressure of the wait are off, as I continue to believe God for my miracle!

This book is soooooo inspiring and essential!!! It not only builds ones faith, Big Time, but, you just can't put it down. I do believe the Author has provided the reader with something more powerful and useful in everyday life application in one 'packed punch' (you'll find out when you get to the end) than any money can buy... Excellent reading, excellent direction, for overcoming lifes obsticals no matter how big or small...

I have read quite a few books on this topic, but this is definitely the best!! WORD-based, easy-to-read, touches your very heart! I underlined many parts, and will certainly read it often!

As a former Ladies Bible Study Leader for several years, I have read and completed numerous studies from Beth Moore, Growing Kids God's Way, Purpose Driven Life, Experiencing God, etc. This book has a powerful message of encouragement that reminds us that God is Almighty and we have His strength and power on earth when we call on His name. I enjoy the numerous scripture passages and find there is "a bite of meat" from each excerpt I read. I can't say I agree with every word the author has written, but I remind myself not to "throw the baby out with the bath water" and to relish God's word presented in a fresh, powerful way. I highly recommend this book to everyone :)
