Well written text, helpful.

It is clear that Lene has truly done her homework, as well as sharing many of her own life experiences of living with RA, which I found to be very inspiring.

Lene Andersen's book is a "must read" for anyone living with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Personally, I found the section on medications for RA extremely helpful. I keep referring back to that section, as questions arise. I also recommend this book to those people who love someone who has RA. Lene's book offers a view into our world that is not complicated, and it is marvelously "spot on". I have lived with RA for a long time, yet I learned things from "Your Life With Rheumatoid Arthritis" that I will find helpful for years to come. Thank you, Lene Andersen! Your book will be a great asset to all of us living with RA, now and in the future. I intend to buy a hard copy version for my Rheumatologist, so that she can recommend it to her RA patients.

Thought the book was well written and balanced look at rheumatoid arthritis as it is today without sales pitches for diets or "cures". It is the unvarnished truth and the current treatment.
What could have made this five stars? Some photos - got to love a little color once in a while. And a little color again - maybe stories of others with RA. The author drew on her experience which is significant but because treatment has changed so much and because everyone's experience is different, this could have added a dimension here.
The author participated in another book with photos and stories or RA patients. I would love to see some of that color and patient interest here.
Don't get me wrong, this is an excellent book - if you have been diagnosed with RA, read this one. It has the information you need and you are looking for. They should be handing it out at the doctors office along with your diagnoses!

I found this book to be full of helpful information. Great for those who are newly diagnosed, but also a helpful reference for those of us who've been living with RA for a long time. I think it would also be a good read for those who care for/love someone with RA.

I found the section on managing the most common side effects of certain medications particularly helpful, as we're not always taught such coping mechanisms by our doctors, only what 'warning signs' to look out for with the more rare and serious side effects. The professional knowledge of our medical team is important, but personal experience from those living this life is equally valuable.

The book doesn't just cover information about the RA drugs, information on alternative treatments is included as well, from massage to acupuncture to meditation. I will definitely be using this as a reference book in the future as I continue searching for an effective treatment.

I've had RA for almost 15 years and consider myself to be well informed about my illness and the multitude of treatments for RA. I research a lot and have always asked my doctors many questions about all things affecting my health. This book would have been a great place to start 15 years ago when I was newly diagnosed. It would have given me alot of information as far as what to expect, options, processes, and what to expect from others when they find out that you have RA. In reading the book now, I've learned alot and used it as a resource to help me with health issues that crop up. Just this week I went back and re-read a particular chapter on a topic that I wanted information on and it was so very helpful. Lene writes on several websites about RA and she knows of what she speaks. If you are newly diagnosed with RA, this is a great primer for you. If you're a long time patient, guaranteed you'll learn something.

Having rheumatoid arthritis myself for 25 years I find the author really knows of what she speaks. She covers every area well. Fortunately for the newer generation of those with autoimmune disease the outlook is much improved over what it used to be but even they will have their questions answered with this book.Well done!

This book could be the "bible" for people new to the world of RA as well as a good go-to source for those who have lived with the disease for some time.

Accurate and humorous account of what life with RA is like. Contains practical advice that would be of great benefit to the newly diagnosed. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to educate themselves about this misunderstood disease.
