"Your Lingering Touch" is a charming collection of pieces from Govi's previous six albums on the Real Music label. Many "best of" albums have a rather haphazard feel to them, but this one holds together and makes perfect sense while providing a lovely overview of Govi's various playing and composing styles. Upbeat and rhythmic, this CD is full of sunshine without becoming syrupy or cloying. Many influences can be heard running through the music, but the strongest is probably Spanish guitar, and second would be slow dance. The passion in "New Dawn" and "Lover's Moon" can weaken knees! Those are my two favorite tracks, but I also really like the fun of "Tears of Joy" and "Magellan's Beat". "Torero" smolders, "Sailing Away" drifts peacefully, and "Sangria" is light and bubbly. Melodic and accessible, this is great music for a romantic picnic or a garden party. It is complex enough to be completely involving, but smooth enough for a backdrop for other activities. "Your Lingering Touch" is excellent from start to finish!

This was my first album from Govi, and I was most impressed. Easy to listen to, masterfully played, and enhanced with the feeling of "natural surroundings" that never became "artificial".

If you like guitar, played with great skill, and yet relaxd and natural, you will love Govi's style.

Imagine yourself driving a convertible on a bright sunny summer day down route 1 on the coast of California. This is the atmosphere Govi provides with his music - a sense of outdoors, of freedom and breath. With interesting rhythms and orchestrations, this recording was made for you to sit down, relax and put a pleasant smile on your face. Simple, beautiful, unpretentious, a success!!

I've been fortunate enough to have discovered Govi through an advanced copy of "Your Lingering Touch." I had never heard of Govi before, but immediately became entranced by this CD. All instrumental guitar (with some subdued background intruments in accompanyment), the songs on this CD strike a perfect balance between mellow and groovy. Perfect background music, but a great pleasure to focus on completely.

I first heard Govi played on a local radio station. I called to asked what artist was playing that beautiful angelic music. I immediately bought Your Lingering Touch by Govi and listen to it all the time.

This collection of relaxing, slow-paced Govi melodies is a Godsend to me as a massage therapist. Breathtakingly beautiful and relaxing at the same time. I couldn't ask for anything more.

I purchased this album in a package deal along with the artist Mehdi as recommended by amazon and although I enjoyed Govi's album, I really must admit that I loved The other album by Mehdi even more. The whole CD is just absolutely fantastic... I have since discovered Mehdi's official site soothingmusic.com and after listening to samples of his other works...well I just had to buy them and that's what compelled me to write this review. I gave Govi 4 stars and because I give credit where it's due, I have to give Mehdi 5 stars.Definitely go check this out, I have a feeling you'll be glad you did...

Although this new CD had about 14 intrumental tracks on it, more than half were the exact songs as included in other CDs by Govi. Seems like for the price of the CD we should be able to expect new music.
