This CD is mislabeled - NOT PUNK AT ALL, IT'S PURE SKA, January 16, 2002

Somehow this cd got listed under alternative/punk when it is pretty much all ska. Now if you really like ska then it might be 4 or 5 stars but I'm into punk so I can't really rate pure ska. I got a ska CD from my bro which is good but this disc is kind of ho-hum. Some of these songs are just instrumental, with a very slow carribean/calypso sound to them. There are a few catchy ones towards the end of the album but other than that it totally lacks energy. If you like ska, for **** you can't go wrong. But I waited two months for this to arrive. If you are expecting punk, check out the Fat series or Punch Drunk volumes.

If you are a punk-lover or someone wanting to trying something different with a couple of bucks, you'll like this cd. I didn't know of any of the bands when I bought it but now I know them by heart. I love this cd!
