As a long-time fan of Tamara Monosoff, I was excited to read her new book, Your Million Dollar Dream, and I was not disappointed. I read a review copy of her book in one sitting, took eight pages of notes and then eagerly agreed to feature her book on [...] -because her new book is jam-packed with excellent information for the many women in our audience who are thinking about starting a business (either at home or abroad).

What exactly is inside? Some motivation to start your business. Some ideas on how to choose a business that is 'right' for you. A great chapter about the importance of matching your personality with your business. Another great chapter on funding/financing options. A few really spot-on 'how-to' chapters for using email marketing, blogs, social media and social networking for your business (although if you're already fluent in using all of these, you might find yourself just scanning these chapters). Some wonderful success story examples scattered throughout the book. Some fantastic quotes (that I now have hanging on my wall!). And lots more.

Your Million Dollar Dream provides a ton of practical, solid business advice mixed in with inspiring stories of other entrepreneurs who have made the leap and followed their dreams. You'll find exercises to help guide you in following your intuition and taping into your personality traits to choose the business path that would be best for you, and you'll also find great tips on leveraging free online tools to help market and grow your business.

Whether you're just thinking about starting a business or you've already begun and are looking for some guidance, this book will help answer your questions about everything from finding financing to creating a business plan and inspire you to build the business of your dreams.

Though you can easily get through the book in a day, you'll want to keep it close by as a reference that will continue to help you as your business grows.

As I sit here with three of Tamara Monosoff's books, which I have read cover to cover, I think that the most outstanding part of what she has provided me is moral support. Although I do not know her personally, I feel as though I do. In all of her books, she has captured exactly what I would feel as I go through each phase of the process. From, `Your husband may not get it at first' to, `Six excuses for not making a business plan' she seem to know exactly what I am experiencing.

From her latest book, Your Million Dollar Dream, I think the part that spoke to me the most was "Focus on Providing Value" starting on page 96. That is exactly what motivates me. Although it may be a long time before I make a single dime, in the mean time, I can freely provide something of value that is in line with the mission of my product and my company. If I truly believe that my product will solve a problem, then I can think about that problem in many creative ways and also offer tips or free services that also address that same issue. That is exactly what I had started to do, but it was wonderful to get confirmation, reassurance and further motivation from her book. Helping people is what motivates me, and her book validated that as a positive step toward building my dream. In such a corporate world that focuses on only the bottom line, I love that I can have a mom business that does much more! What I love most about being a mom with a business dream is that I can make it more than just a bottom line...although I suppose I should have one of those too! Thank you Tamara!

This book is quite a teacher when it comes to business.One can learn the pros and cons step by step.For it touches on everything as to how to go.I read things in this book that I never expected to find.I must congratulate Tamara Monosoff for putting in all her hard work into this book.It's worth studying.I enjoyed it.

As a big fan on the Million Dollar Mom books, I found this one informative and well thought up. It's current with allt he references with online marketing and what to do and not to do with your home business.

Tara's website and what she has created and what she is sharing in this book is quite remarkable and generous.

She's realistic and gives advice that can be applied to many different types of businesses and situations.

I wish I had had this book when I started my business seven years ago - how much time, money, and sanity it would have saved me! Tamara Monosoff's books consistently provide dozens of valuable tips and words of encouragement to keep even the most hesitant focused and energized. While any budding entrepreneur will find her books enormously helpful, Monosoff's "been there and lived through it" conversational style of writing will be especially helpful to mothers. As a mom inventor, entrepreneur, and author herself, she can relate to the particular challenges that launching a product or business with small children in tow can entail. This is not to say that her books are for moms only, helpful tips on marketing and promotion, to funding your business are applicable for anyone.

Monosoff lets you know that the crazy idea that has been floating around in your head maybe isn't so crazy and unattainable after all... maybe it is the next million dollar idea that a little fortitude and some very good advice is all that is needed to roll up your sleeves and jump in. In addition to her books, her website: [...] is also chalked full of handy, personal advice. I can't recommend her books and her subsequent wisdom enough. If you are contemplating starting a business or bring a product to market, consider Monosoff your sage and her books your personal "how-to" manual.

I've been a fan of Tamara Monosoff since I first heard of 'MomInventors' when I stayed home with my newborn son 5 years ago. Through the years she's provided me with inspirational stories that motivate and teach as well as the step by step advice that helped me launch my first at home business over 6 years ago. And now I'm in love again! 'Your Million Dollar Dream' goes even further to give a 'blueprint' for success and easy to do advice that even with my 'mommy brain' helped me grow and expand to get my Million Dollar Dream into action!

Tamara Monosoff has covered EVERYTHING and created the ultimate small business reference book.... and as with Monosoff's other titles, I just love the real life anecdotes, making YMDD such an entertaining (as well as informative) read. Huge Congrats to Monosoff and the Mom Invented team- this book will be referred to in many different circles (not just Mums) for the next decade I'm sure.

I came across this book in a bookstore in SF and just picked it up instinctively. Then I started reading it during holidays and could not put it down before I came to the end (at which point I was ready to read it all over again). What makes this book so special? It gives you relevant practical advise on how to set up a business, what to think of, how to find customers, financiers etc. This advise is written in a no nonsense, clear & concise way without having to revert to complex 'business babble'. It will tell that you should think of your customer at all times rather than to suggest 'to capture the notion of customer attention' which is something that I really hate. Also, it includes questions around your business idea, your potential clients, what you are trying to achieve etc. that help you find out what exactly you are trying to do (I had all these things in my mind but it's extremely helpful to write them down). Apart from the very practical usefulness this book gives you the feeling that you can do it too, that you don't have to be a rockefeller-minded person or an Einstein to set up a business of your choice. Afraid of doing a business plan? So was I but then I looked at the questions and the example plan and within a day I managed to come up with a one-page plan which I will further develop over time. Hence, if you are thinking of doing something on your own, read this book, you will not be disappointed!!
