Book Description

October 20, 2009
The delightfully readable book Your Nest Egg Game Plan comes at the right time. As traditional pension plans continue to be frozen, 410(k) and IRA plans melt down, and many investments are exploding, the authors do a wonderful job of focusing attention on how to transition your financial assets into lifetime income.
Moshe A. Milevsky, Ph.D., Finance professor, York University

"Competing needs and emotional decision-making often hinder wise retirement planning. Your Nest Egg Game Plan steers you through these shoals, while providing sound data for people trying to managing their saving, spending and investing. This book is a thoughtful and valuable guide for anyone preparing for retirement or trying to guarantee their income during their retirement years.
Jane Bryant Quinn, author of Making the Most of Your Money NOW and Smart and Simple Financial Strategies for Busy People

"If you are concerned about the current state of the economy, and planning to retire relatively soon, you might wonder what you can do going forward. If you read Your Nest Egg Game Plan, you are likely to garner some insights that will help you fix your own personal financial situation." allbusiness.com

"Craig gets what so many investment writers miss that if investors don't succeed, then all of the wizardry of Wall Street is for naught." Don Phillips, managing director, Morningstar, Inc.

If you have an employer-sponsored pension plan, you're among the lucky few. Traditional pensions--in which retirees were guaranteed an income for life--are a thing of the past. They've been replaced by 401(k) and IRA plans that shift the burden of building and managing a retirement nest egg to the employee. The scary part is that most of us are woefully unprepared to handle this responsibility.

That's where Your Nest Egg Game Plan comes in. Using simple language, the authors provide an easy-to-implement framework to design an investment program that will provide the benefits of a traditional pension plan--while offering the flexibility that retirees and pre-retirees demand. Rather than touting individual stock picks, painting doom or gloom scenarios, or focusing on "the number," the authors take a broad look at all aspects of investing and income generation. They expose many of the fallacies perpetuated by financial advisors, mutual fund companies, insurance companies, and the Wall Street media.

Your Nest Egg Game Plan replaces fear and uncertainty with intelligence and insight, and helps individuals tailor an investment and retirement strategy to fit their unique needs. In light of the global market meltdown of recent years, Your Nest Egg Game Plan is both timely and timeless.

5.0 out of 5 stars Professional Advisers should read this. December 7, 2009
Format:Paperback
What I really like about this easy to read, step by step book is that both investors and advisers can gain so much knowledge and insight from the practical advice and the illustrative examples offered as proof of the advice. So often, there is so much thrown at individuals with a nest egg to protect and they don't know who to trust. This book will help investors ask the right questions with the answers ready. Good job Phil and Craig.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sound Advice in Difficult Times December 6, 2009
Format:Paperback
When all of us looked at what our retirement portfolio did between 2007-2008, we thought that retirement was not a possibility at all. Mr. Fragasso's book provides some solace in these very difficult times. We all know there is hope for all of us to reach our goals. The best advice is to read this book and really take this common sense advice to heart. Most of us are not going to get rich listening to Jim Cramer, but having a clear strategy, being well-informed and having sensible goals will take us much further. This book will pay dividends for the reader much quicker than any stock or bond.
