About the Author

With 10 cats of her own, author Christine Church is an expert on all things feline. She has been writing about cats for over eight years and is the author of Indoor Cats (TFH Publications), winner of the Iams Responsible Cat Ownership Award.

More About the Author

Christine Church started writing at the young age of 9, penning and illustrating picture books with tales of horses. She even created her own publishing company, Church Publishing. As an adult, she started by writing columns for local newsletters, then magazines, and eventually books (publishing 5 books through traditional publishers, on the care of cats). Her book Indoor Cats, won the Iams Responsible Cat Ownership Award in 2007.

She is at work on her novel, Beyond Every Mirror, an urban fantasy romance. See the Most Recent Blog Posts (right), which are "written" by the main character of the novel and gives inside information on the book before it is released. If you love something different, romance, adventure, and fantasy, this will be a must-read.

In 2001, this book won the Iams Responsible Cat Ownership Award. Simply and understandably written for anyone of any age, this book, with its attractive cover and informative anectodes and information, is a must-have for any and all cat lover book shelves. Not quite as extensive as this author's book, Housecat (Howell Book House), yet great for just what you need if looking for basic answers. This book includes information on such topics as why to keep your cat indoors, how to keep your indoor cat happy, behavior and training, health, nutrition, scratching and old age, etc. Read this book and others by this author, and keep your cat happy. He/she will love you for it.

Well-written book on cat behavior. Based on
my own experience as a cat parent, I think Christine
Church is right on about some of the issues you can
encounter especially with a multi-cat household.
