Book Description

February 1, 2001
"Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God" (Ruth 1:16). Like Ruth in the Old Testament, every Gentile believer has come out of the land of famine and into the spiritual realm of abundance in the name of Jesus. But unlike Ruth, we have turned our backs on the Jewish people, the relatives of the Messiah. We need to confess personally and corporately on behalf of the Church for centuries of persecution of the Jewish people, looking in these days for every opportunity to bless and not curse them. Once again, Israel and her people are center stage at a crucial moment in world history, and this book shows why the Church must effect reconciliation and why our prayers are vital in this hour. If we will make the same covenent pledge to Israel that Ruth made to Naomi, the Church will never be the same!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sobering AND refreshing thoughts to ponder, March 19, 2001
This review is from: Your People Shall Be My People: How Israel, the Jews and the Christian Church Will Come together in the Last Days (Paperback)
The only reason I give this book 4 instead of 5 stars is because I felt some of it was a little slow. But, on the other hand, there were chapters that gave me so much to think about that my mind raced. The fulfillment of prophecy concerning Israel becoming a nation (1948) and then re-gaining Jerusalem (1967) along with millions of Jews recently beginning to follow Christ are only a few reasons to read this book. This book is not a prophecy study per se, but a look into a few certain areas of prophecy that have everything to do with Israel, the church and the second coming. Being a "gentile", like many who will read this book, I saw many things about how we as American Christians are cluless when it comes to God's chosen people, Israel. We Christians, as a whole, truly have ignored the Jews and even miss-treated them. Not to mention our biased reading of the scripture because of our American churchy mindset. I would highly suggest this book. You will gain new understanding and begin to find yourself praying for things you have never considered.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Primer, June 23, 2004

This review is from: Your People Shall Be My People: How Israel, the Jews and the Christian Church Will Come together in the Last Days (Paperback)
If you are a stranger to or a novice in the subject of God's promises for Israel, I highly recommend this book. It gives historical and Biblical perspective. I recommend it to Jewish people who do not believe that Yeshua is Messiah as well. It gives a good insight into how the New Testament teaches gentile believers to act and feel in regards to the Jewish people. There's not much "new revelation" for those who have read a plethora of other books on the subject, but what it does do is bring together the best stuff from a lot of other books into one and give some clear focused, practical direction to Christians concerning Israel and Jewish people in general.
This book in no way demonizes Arab or Palestinian peoples. It's not anti-Arab at all. In fact the author only briefly refers to it when saying: "Surrounding Arab nations...have found it difficult to acknowledge her identity." That's the understatement of the millennium.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read For Our Time., May 19, 2002

This review is from: Your People Shall Be My People: How Israel, the Jews and the Christian Church Will Come together in the Last Days (Paperback)
If only every Christian, every member of every Church, irrespective of denomination, would read the contents of this book. Read and then study the contents and the parallel Scriptures with an open and honest heart, then the world would see such a revival.

Replacement theology would be a thing of the past. God's Promises and inheritance to the Jewish people would at last be understood and the Church would realise it's true relationship to Israel and the Jewish people upon which their faith is founded.

Indeed, for all peoples of all religions, the contents of this book should be studied. Anti-Semitism is on the increase and we owe it to ourselves to know the truth about the Jewish people and the Land of Israel as it is actually outlined in the Scriptures. This book opens up these facts to us in an easy to read and clear manner that is so easy to understand.

This book proves from Scripture how God sees the Jewish people and Israel. This book reveals to us all that we need to know. With this knowledge, our outlook will receive explosive implications in relation to our interpretation of current events, which will never be the same again. A must read !
