A national magazine actually had a photographer write that you should tell your photographer that you'll only give them 20 or 30 minutes for formals, and you don't want any more time than that taken up. No wonder so many brides aren't pleased with their end results. There really is a need for such education. Because brides can read the book and learn the differences in what they may be seeing as they shop around, they don't have to feel that they're only hearing one side of a story, its a more unbiased look at the differences in wedding photography, and a great educational tool. since so many people are wired to the Internet. -- Diane Berkenfeld, Editor PTN (Photo Trade News)
Your Picture Perfect Wedding is a highly entertaining, fact-filled manual for the bride-to-be. Written with an inviting style and covering a great deal of valuable territory, it is as entertaining as it is informative. While most of your sage advice applies to every bride to be, some references and examples will most likely resonate more with well-to-do brides-to-be.
As for your Web promo, wow! It got me wanting to buy a copy and I already have one! You both are masters at communicating your message clearly, with high-impact excitement, and a lot of fun. -- Alice B. Miller, Editor, Studio Photography

"Your Picture Perfect Wedding" truly lives up to its title,

This review is from: Your Picture Perfect Wedding: A Bride's Personal Guide To Wedding Photography In The New Millennium (Paperback)
In "Your Picture Perfect Wedding", award winning wedding photographer Galina Vitols has teamed up with seasoned writer for national bridal publications Mia Johnson to provide non-specialist general readers with a thoroughly 'bride & groom friendly' guide for selecting exactly the right wedding photographer for their very special day. Weddings are such important occasions that a lot of money and planning go into them, vows are exchanged, and a sanctioned life-time commitment put into effect. It's the photographs taken in documenting this very special event that provide a kind of family heirloom and one that can never simply be re-done if not accomplished properly the first time. "Your Picture Perfect Wedding" lays out all the steps to evaluate and secure an appropriate photographer, the kinds of pictures to expect and require, even what to do with those photos that provide a visual record of such an important and memorable occasion. There's even a terrific chapter on 'Finding Love and Great Wedding Photographs - The Second Time Around'. "Your Picture Perfect Wedding" truly lives up to its title and is enthusiastically recommended reading for anyone contemplating matrimony.

One Of The Most Comprehensive Wedding Photography Books Ever Written!,
By Wedding Planning Guru (New York, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Your Picture Perfect Wedding: A Bride's Personal Guide To Wedding Photography In The New Millennium (Paperback)
It is truly a book for both brides and wedding photographers. Its step-by-step helpfulness and personal commentary has you feeling like you're actually having a personal dialogue with two people who know their subject thoroughly. It is beautifully edited and written, the pictures are incredible and both Mia and Galina treat the reader with a much appreciated honesty and respect, something that seems to be missing in most 'how to' books of this day and age. Both Galina and Mia stress the importance of teamwork, trust and a best laid out plan for both wedding photographer and bride and they couldn't have made the subject of wedding photography any simpler to understand. Brides should never see a wedding photographer without reading this book first. It should be required reading for every bride-to-be. A truly magnificent and entertaining read!
