This book really shows kids what they will have to do when and if they get a pony or a horse!

Darwin would be proud
If you have the knowledge and are willing to thoroughly go thru this book and change all the Darwinian explanations. Then this would be a good book for young children. Some of the explanations are subtle and can easily be missed.

I am a 4-H youth educator in Indiana. My county is using this book to help our youth with their horse & pony project. The parents also find this book very helpful.

This book's illustrations weren't too good.I recommend Cherry Hill's Horse Care for Kids: Grooming, Feeding, Behavior, Stable & Pasture, Health Care, Handling & Safety, Enjoying. It is the same book but updated with more pictures and illustrations.
So the book was pretty good overall. |
