Peppered throughout the text are frank quotes from teen parents that present an honest view of what lies ahead. A chapter for teen fathers addresses their rights and responsibilities, the importance of supporting prenatal care, and the emotional changes they might be experiencing. Each chapter ends with a suggestion for further reading, and an extensive bibliography is included. Average-quality black-and-white photos show teen families of various backgrounds.
