Wow! I rarely write reviews, but I have to comment on this one. If you are looking for something in this genre, look no further. It's not just her perfect voice for this type of recording, but also the way it was recorded, she is very, very clear and yet very quiet and not obtrusive. Everything about this is just about perfect. I bought this and another tape, and fortunately heard this first. The other is a great disappointment, with the woman's rough voice and too-fast talking. Don't take a chance, buy this tape.

5.0 out of 5 stars a powerful relaxation tool, October 28, 2004
By
I have been very stressed lately which resulted in me not being able to sleep. I searched and found this CD, and honestly I doubted that it could help. For the past week now, I have been listening to this CD everynight right when I am about to go to bed. And instead of staying up all night looking aimlessly in my room, I fall into deep sleep and wake up relaxed and refreshed.

So far, I haven't listened to the whole CD, after 5 min. I fall into deep sleep. But the CD recommends that you keep it on even if you sleep. Your mind listens even if you are not awake.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Perfect Time of Year for the Perfect Gift of the Season, November 23, 2007
By
Black Friday: what a grim term for the beginning of the Holiday season! Traditionally the stress peak of the year is the prelude to what for many of us is one of the most beautiful times of the calendar. But now there is a way to negate the stress that otherwise can bruise the season. This amazing CD by Susie Mantell is not only an experience worth repeating at least daily, but it also offers a state of tranquility that would be a perfect gift for those you love.

YOUR PRESENT: A HALF HOUR OF PEACE is technically labeled an 'audiobook', but place this CD on your sound system (whether personal to just your ear, or in a room to cancel out the noise of the world) and listen to the soothing voice and sounds of Mantell's little miracle package. She obviously fully understands stress management, but this is not a course, a how-to disc, or a lesson plan. This is, true to its title, YOUR PRESENT - a successful session that asks only that you listen and respond and release your stress to the sea! It sounds simple and it is simple: Mantell only requires that you give your full attention to letting go. What a great solution for this time of year - and the entire year! Grady Harp, November 07
