... - I bought it ... last year and I use it all the time as a superb reference book. It has more than enough information to enable everyone from complete beginners to more knowledgeable folk to understand and learn about how our chakras work and what they do and mean. It is well laid out with graphics and clear explanations. Please, if you get chance, find this book and keep it by your bedside - it is wonderful for healers (I am a Reiki master) and spiritualists alike.

I am reading this book for a book study group that we have at our local chain bookstore. It is practical and laid out in a way that makes it easy-to-read. It has wonderful stories throughout, many from a variety of spiritual teachers from the world's spiritual traditions, that clarify and expand on the points being made. It is a great study of the body's subtle energy system. For each chakra, the authors give the following correspondences: location, color, sanskrit name, # of petals, positive expression, unbalanced expression, corresponding part of body, musical instrument,gemstone, spiritual tradition and life lesson. I highly recommend this book as it makes the profound practical and enjoyable.

A fine marriage of the practical and the esoteric, this is a
sound and useful book for spiritual seekers as well as energy workers. I have purchased many copies - I give them to colleagues and students alike. This one should be in your personal library.

Easy, friendly, complete. The best book about chakras ever. I've read a lot of books about this theme till I've found this one I was not buying becasue I thougt it was too small to contain so much wisdom. I was proved wrong. You won't regret. This is a book we all MUST read. You will understand and learn a lot of pratical things. Namaste!

this book shows us how to control your self, how to activate different chakras and lot more. good practical book to understand clearly what your chakras means and how to work with them.

I thought this would be something more analytical with real information. It was a little new ageish for my taste, but I have friends who swear by it. I guess it depends on how deeply you believe this stuff. It wouldn't be a good overview of the energy centers, but rather a more in-depth view, with more spiritual explanations.

I am one of "those" folks that book readers hate. The one that "HI LITE" the parts I love in the books I buy.
