This book is very good for getting ideas of different designs for your wedding cake. If you'er looking for a more instructional book on how to decorate the cakes, this book is not it. However the pictures of the cakes are beautiful with little or no information about the number of servings, decorations etc. It is exactly what it says Cakes for you wedding. Just a book of pictures for ideas. If this is what you're looking for then this book will do.

As a wedding cake designer, I am always looking for inspiration from the top designers in the country- usually through wedding magazines. This book has many, many photos from the top designers of contemporary wedding cake styles. In the last month, I have had two brides come to me with this book in hand saying "I want this cake!" I said to myself, I have to buy a copy of this book!! Great for brides planning a wedding and looking for sophisticated cake designs- not your ordinary bakery style.

For an experienced decorator this book is great for up to date styles. It will give your brides new ideas, however I do not recommend it for beginner decorators because it does not have directions. It also will give you a basic view on how wedding cakes got started.
