I have read all of Florence Scovel Shinn's works . . . andre-read them and re-read them. Ms. Shinn wrote her books between 1925and 1940, but through her books I have gained insights into how life works that are timeless and so full of truth! She says, "Nothing ever comes uninvited into your life." This is a painful but true statement. Read this book (and her 3 other books) and learn how to invite into your life ONLY what you need or desire!

This book is a book of statements/affirmations for almost any situation. After reading The Game of Life and How to Play it, one becomes painfully aware of a fact, that what ever you send out from your mouth, will come back to you. So, it behoves one to send out only good. This book has positive statements for most of the negative ones we tend to use in not-so-good situations of life. This little book is priceless to those of you in need of hope and a little guidance along life's path.

The concept of the power of belief has been well covered for decades and written about in dozens of places, but this author delivers the MESSAGE in a way I had not heard it before. It's interesting to me that I came across this book at a time when I was really striving to get my business off the ground. The timing was uncanny.

I was a little put off in the beginning by her focus on Biblical teachings and stories from the bible, but I soon got past it and was able to see the real message she was trying to convey. Perhaps I DIDN'T have all the answers. Perhaps I WASN'T alone in this universe. Perhaps there WAS a way I could "dial into" a power bigger than myself. I was raised Christian, I have just been so turned off by today's "Christians" who don't seem to emulate anything I was taught about being one.

Anyway, I read all three books STRAIGHT IN A ROW and even if I'd wanted to, I couldn't get them out of my head. I'd had ongoing back pain for months and one sleepless night I decided I had nothing to lose by trying Shinn's approach. I was absolutely SHOCKED by the outcome. Pain I had suffered for months was completely gone in three days. It started slowly, and by the third day, I had NO pain.

I encourage anyone out there who is suffering to DARE TO BELIEVE. I did and my life hasn't been the same since.
