5.0 out of 5 stars Really neat! For projects up to 6.5" long only!!!
This is a neat little machine. I got it for a great price, and mine came with some bonus soft covers (and no hard covers), which is awesome, since ProvoCraft apparently doesn't make the machine or accessories anymore. I plan to use it for my own little projects--little notepads, small photo albums. It looks like the heat element bar is only about 1/2-3/4" wide, and...

I wasn't aware that this machine didn't take 8 1/2 x 11 paper. Also, it was supposed to have sample covers in the package, but none were in the box. I really can't use this machine so I will be sending it

This is a neat little machine. I got it for a great price, and mine came with some bonus soft covers (and no hard covers), which is awesome, since ProvoCraft apparently doesn't make the machine or accessories anymore. I plan to use it for my own little projects--little notepads, small photo albums. It looks like the heat element bar is only about 1/2-3/4" wide, and the slot is only 6.5" long, so that gives you an idea of how big of a project you can make with this. I had considered the bigger machine, but I bought this really just so I could make mini albums--I don't need to make full size photo books, and I didn't want to spend $50 and have to store yet another big machine. That said, if it were a $20 or so difference, I'd probably just go ahead and get the bigger one since it would be more versatile. I just tested this little gadget out and made a cute little 3x3 paper notebook out of copy paper and a cover I made out of cardstock, with the hot glue method (found on YouTube--very easy). It looks like it'll hold up reasonably well, though I don't think the pages will tear cleanly out of the notebook, but that's no big deal. Essentially, this little guy seems to do what it says it will, so I'm happy with it.

I was amazed at the price and love the machine. It does a great job. Expensive to purchase the book covers, but just googled book binding a realize I can use cardstock and purchase glue binder strips so will be trying that. Came in record times
