CPA Review,

This review is from: You're in Charge...What Now? (Paperback)
As a CPA-trained professional, one of my greatest managerial challenges was making the transition from a technician to a manager and a leader. I wish I had this book to guide me through that difficult process. My learning curve would have been much faster and certainly more successful. I highly recommend this book to first-time supervisors, as well as experienced managers. The concepts and lessons are intuitive, insightful and timeless. This is required reading for anyone who has responsibility for managing other individuals.

You're In Charge... What Now?: Seven Essential Steps For Work Leader Success by Gerald M. Czarnecki (Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Deltennium Group) is a bulletin-point oriented instructional guide for business managers, which emphasizes such tenets as assigning people to the tasks that best suit them; learning to think for oneself; rely on one's own judgement; setting one's expectations high for optimal performance, and much, much more. A positively charged and energetic guide to promoting a productive and upbeat work environment, You're In Charge...What Now? is especially commended reading for those new in positions of managerial corporate responsibility.

A "MUST HAVE" FOR ANY MANAGER,
By A Customer
This review is from: You're in Charge...What Now? (Paperback)
I have been recently promoted to management within a large and growing retail chain. I have been faced with many new challenges and my district manager recommended this book. I have found it of great use. Mr. Czarnecki instills the "Seven Steps" through each chapter that promotes the mnemonic word LEADERS (Love, Expectations, Assignment, Development Evaluation, Rewards, and Self). It is very strait forward, packed with tips and case studies that deal with the real world."Work Leaders" has helped me with the transition to a management role. It will continue to assist me as I grow as a LEADER and lead my store and staff into the busiest time of the year,"the Holiday Season in the Retail World".

A tremendous resource,

This review is from: You're in Charge...What Now? (Paperback)
Earlier this year I found myself unexpectedly thrust into a situation where I became the interim CEO of a small company. Although the book was not primarily directed at me as a CEO I found it extremely practical and helpful as I navigated my way through an unexpectedly new situation. I would recommend it for any professional or executive who must manage others who execute!

Unlike a lot of other business/management books, this one contained information that was very practical and useful in my work environment. It had a number of case studies and examples that really helped put the steps into perspective. I would recommend it to anyone who has people working under them.

CEO reviews,

This review is from: You're in Charge...What Now? (Paperback)
As a CEO of a financial services company, I receive many books to review that are primarily focused on strategy or vision. While both of those are important to the healthy growth of a company, I tend to see the same philosophies described in different words. This book is different. It reveals the principles of leading in a refreshingly simple manner. The focus of the book is achieving results through leadership and it offers powerful insights to all levels of management. Our executives and management team intend to recommend it to all those in a leadership role and to those who desire to lead in the future

President and CFO,

I have been in management for many years. I have been to countless seminars and I have sent my managers to countless seminars, but it wasn't until Gerry came to my annual managers' retreat and introduced his book, that the light bulbs finally went on. They read this book and could easily identify with the situations discussed in each chapter. All of us have been thru the transition from worker bee to work leader and it is not easy. I wish I had this book 25 years ago when I was first promoted from the ranks.
