This small book lists all the reasons your guy is great with colourful and charming pictures to help illustrate.
There are over sixty pages to share and express your love with such terms of endearment like, You're my guy because...you didn't run away when I had the flu, children adore you and you remember everything, to name just a few. Each page is colourfully depicted with delightful and endearing cartoonish-like characters!
I just loved the pictures drawn throughout the book, they were comical and very nicely drawn. The words of love were sweet and very true for my man, as I am sure they would be for yours! The book is easy to read, basically one line per page, but the message is true. Each page is filled with love and caring and would make a perfect gift for Father's Day, birthdays or for a "just because" kind of gift!
This book is for your man of the moment, the one who is the curator ofyour heart. It lets him know--it lets him see--why your spirits rise, why your pulse picks up, when he's around. This small book of many witty reasons is for THIS time in your life--yours and his. In winning words with amusing illustrations, it reveals how true affection is built from little things that mean a lot to those who've shared them. --Jennifer Chatham, author of One Day at a Time and Mad Moose Mama Blogs

Let Me Count The Ways... [for a month].,

This review is from: You're My Guy Because... (Hardcover)
DISCLAIMER: Reader knows the author.
But do not let that detract from the objective opinion of her current work.... It was such an awesome surprise to come home after work, well, after Starbucks, after work... and find something crammed into my mailbox in the lobby. I saw the return address and wondered, "Hmmm... what would that Torontonian Nutbar be sending l'il ol' me?" I could not wait. I ripped into the package there in the elevator. It's her new book, and it's really great. It is filled with 30 different ways to [lovingly] complete the sentence, and each is accompanied with her inimitable artwork on the facing page. I've already read through the entire book, and it's great. Funny, cute, and adorable. I almost wish I had a "guy" to send it to. Well no, wait a minute. There's no real need to exaggerate quite to that extent. But I will say this, If you are a girl/woman, and you have a guy, and you like him, you should get this book. It will make a great gift for him. As the jacket cover says: A century and a half ago, Elizabeth Barrett Browning started a poem, to Robert Browning, with the now-famous words: How do I love thee? Let me count the ways... That was then. This book is NOW. It's a great little book, folks.

I'm someone's guy...,
By T. P. Sutin "reading guy" (Mesa, AZ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: You're My Guy Because... (Hardcover)
I recently got this book as a gift from my longtime girlfriend. I really enjoy it. She included a private note and drawing of her own saying why I'm "her guy" to go with it. It was nice to receive. The cartoons are just great and some are just too perfect. My girlfriend had just been teasing me about catching me dancing by myself when I thought she wasn't home, and there is a comic like that in the book, I couldn't believe it. Really good book, and a great gift to get.
