The greatest kids album ever!,
By A Customer
This review is from: You're Nice People You Are (Audio CD)
For fans of the 'q who have transitioned into the wonderful world of parenthood, this album is an absolute godsend. Everything that makes the 'q one of the greatest bands in the world is encapsulated in this cd...great hooks, hilarious lyrics, and, yes, a heartfelt joey song or two. Your youngins will get hours of fun from the Tommy tour-de-force "music lesson", while Terry's piano workout on "last stop brattleboro" is vintange, vintange 'q! And is there a more beautiful song in this world than Joey's album closer, "Sleep"? A great, great album by a great, great band.

Definitely the best children's disk ever!,
By MikeG "Music is Real" (Juno Beach, FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: You're Nice People You Are (Audio CD)
I totally agree with the below reviewer. This disk is the greatest! I love NRBQ, so when I found out they had a children's disk I ordered it for my newborn son. Even though he was still too young to fully appreciate it, it quicky became a favorite of my wife and I. It truly is not just a children's disk. It has a great balance between Joey's beautiful ballads like "Spider" and "Sleep", and Terry's trademark zaniness. The lyrics are fun and profound at the same time. Buy this disk if you want to enjoy your children's music, and then buy some of NRBQ's other works to experience the greatest band you've never heard of.

Great recording for kids,
By A Customer
This review is from: You're Nice People You Are (Audio CD)
This is a great recording for kids and fun for adults too. A typical NRBQ recording; some quirky, some melodic but the kids will love the songs. One word of caution: don't expect fluff; it is generally pretty thoughtful music...thoughtful enough for the band to play at their live shows.
