5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, yet still very stirring....
I first heard this song on the radio and Daniel was about to sing the chorus. I was pretty suprised at the simple creativity of the chorus and was hooked instantly. Then the second verse came along and I had a huge smile on my face. I haven't heard a "pop" song filled with such beauty and emotion in a very very...very long time. Although I do not own Daniels cd...

This review is from: If You're Not the One (Audio CD)
I first heard this song on the radio and Daniel was about to sing the chorus. I was pretty suprised at the simple creativity of the chorus and was hooked instantly. Then the second verse came along and I had a huge smile on my face. I haven't heard a "pop" song filled with such beauty and emotion in a very very...very long time. Although I do not own Daniels cd "Gotta Get Thu This" I'm now a fan and will soon go out and purchase the LP. I will however be cautious in my enthusiasm, I'm not going to be swayed until I hear more material from the artist. I've listen to his first single "Gotta Get Thru This" and wasn't too thrilled with the song. It had a basic one liner through the whole track. It begins as a catchy tune then starts to fade with annoyance very quickly. Though, I will give him credit for the beat. Again, this single is definitely a winner and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something different in "pop" music.

5.0 out of 5 stars What A Gorgeous Song!, April 25, 2003
By
This review is from: If You're Not the One (Audio CD)
Although, when I first heard this song, I changed the station after only a few notes. But when I finally sat through the whole song, I loved it. The chorus is incredible and this guy is a very good singer *he treats those high notes like the male Mariah Carey!* I'm happy to see a pop ballad getting some recognition considering only two others have really been able to do so over the last year *Beautiful- Christina Aguilera/ A Moment Like This- Kelly Clarkson* "If You're Not the One" has the potential to be a pop classic. Buy this!

I didn't lik I Gotta Get Through this very much, to me it was sort of annoying after a while. But If You're Not the ONe is a beautiful song. I even came close to tears ( I said close). It was just very moving and sweet. I can't wait to hear another ballad from Daniel Beddingfield.

4.0 out of 5 stars If there's one cd for you this year........., April 2, 2003
This review is from: If You're Not the One (Audio CD)
........this should be the one. Perfect song when you're with that 'someone', perfect song if you just lost that 'someone' and perfect song if you don't have that 'someone'. Someone say it's the perfect song for wedding and the remix will be perfectly fabulous when you are on the dancefloor together with everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unexpected and Intimate Appeal, May 21, 2003

Like the surprise of a new love, this delicate and intimate song reveals the musings of an unexpected find, approached with the grip of intense feelings that beg to be defined and qualified. The lyrics are universal and fit well with the design of the music that fits. A very interesting and intimate piece, well balanced for its purpose, evoking both the uncertainty of love, and the joy and excitement that accompany it. A real winner by the very masterful artist!

5.0 out of 5 stars THE song of the year....., May 7, 2003

This song is so beautiful and is a medley of all the thoughts one has for that special somone. This song has shown us the talent Daniel has. He is the only one who can pull this song off and we're glad about that. This is the most romantic song of the year and is sure to work it's way to the top of the charts!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy This For The Metro Edit of If You're Not The One, March 16, 2011
This review is from: If You're Not the One (Audio CD)
The Metro edit of If You're Not The One would mix nicely with Sharams The One, which is basically a follow up or sequel to this song and is available in several awesome remixes! My copy of this CD single also includes awesome video for the songs and I highly recommend it!The One Is available from Amazon MP3 and an MP3 of THIS metro edit should be as well! Get on the ball Amazon!! If you want video like mine has, and can afford it, go for the enhanced import version of this item If You're Not the One

3.0 out of 5 stars This single could've been better, November 14, 2007
This review is from: If You're Not the One (Audio CD)
This review was originally written by my husband, Daniel Aeschliman, who has given me permission to post it here:

"If You're Not The One" was the third and final single in the US from Daniel Bedingfield's debut album, but the first (and only) one to be commercially issued here. Originally a tender ballad, Metro provided a fabulous club mix that's presented on this disc. It also contains a medley of snippets of other tracks on the album, which unfortunately tends to focus on the previously issued singles. The biggest problem with this single is that they could have done more with it; a longer remix, live tracks, an exclusive b-side, maybe some of the remixes of "Gotta Get Thru This" or "James Dean (I Wanna Know)" - something to bulk the disc up a little more. Ultimately, the main reason to get this disc is for the remix version of "If You're Not The One" since the medley is not something you're likely to sit down and listen to over and over. A good song and a great remix, but a lousy snippet medley and a waste of a format.
