4.0 out of 5 stars this isnto fair, May 26, 2003

I am a big fan of Shinia's and i am sad to say that this song has been redone by a mediocre punk group named New Found Glory.
Shania does this song so much better and it is a must download or buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A song that helps the healing process, August 15, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: You're Still the One (Audio CD)
2 years ago, our dear friend's 4 year old son, became critically ill on Mothers Day. He was in a coma for 4 weeks and nearly died. Our friends both lost their jobs, and have become financially in debt due to medical expenses.Today their son suffers from chronic seizures. Both have to take shifts sleeping with him in case he has one during the night. This song came on the radio one day, and now when things seem difficult, they play this song and are thankful that "they made it."

5.0 out of 5 stars The only Shania Twain song I can appreciate..., August 10, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: You're Still the One (Audio CD)
I LOVE this song because it reminds me of my husband and I, a lot! We wed nearly 9 years ago, I was 5 mos. pregnant, everyone said we wouldn't make it once our baby was born. Our 8 yr. old daughter is starting 3rd grade soon, and she is one of the few kids in her class that can say that her parents aren't divorced or remarried. My hubby was 21 & I was 20 when we were married, the odds were against us deeply. Shania's song touches me deeply whenever I hear it. Her other songs lack depth, meaning and soul. "You're Still The One" seemed to written about us...

about two years ago, i would've never even touched a country cd, but shania's new song "you're still the one" is very contemporary and has actually turned me onto country music. now i actually have the country station pre-set on our radio. shania brings country a good name and new listeners.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Song Proves that True Love Does Exist, July 27, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: You're Still the One (Audio CD)
In this crossover masterpiece, Shania proves not only can she sing a beautiful song, but a deep one. This song is a tribute to the immensely strong love between Shania and her husband. Even though the odds were against them (they are from totally different musical genres), it looks like they made it. Aside from that, one could have just written a poem or a brief story that would have said the same thing, but Shania has orchestrated one of the most beautiful pieces in contemporary music. It is also quite wordly as it encompasses the rock and country musical genres with an excellent pop sensibility. Shania proves that she is still the one who can write some of the best ballads in modern music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very moving.., March 12, 2004
I happened to be job-hunting in Singapore when this song had its radio premiere in March 98. My mood then was a strange cocktail of -
1) Ill-suppressed nostalgia for my (then) latest set of friends in Australia,
2) Intense longing for my love in India (who i'd been separated from for over 2 years while i was in Australia) and
3) Tremendous pressure for landing a job in Singapore because I had this big educational loan that i had to pay off ASAP.

I had the headphones on the whole day (between all the abortive and/or miscarried interviews I was attending), and the warmth of this song also radically contrasted with the cold social existence all around me.

Anywayyyyy - the song is magic, its great, and even if Shania never sings this well ever again (she actually hasn't!), it reamains for me one of the most sincere ballads in recording history.

Finis.
