5.0 out of 5 stars Best of Gabriella's SO FAR
I found the book well-written to the max. It flows along. The characters are well-rounded, believable. The description was not overdone but exceptional as I could picture all the buildings and events and people as the story unfolded. The plot is definately romance but not overwhelmingly mushy or silly, very mature and satisfying. I loved the mystery elements most of all...

I found the book well written and enjoyable. Characters were well rounded and believable. Very mature. The romance elements were expertly done to the right degree and not silly or mushy, very real. I found the descriptions excellent...I could see and feel the settings and events at they unfolded. I especially loved the mystery elements. Can't wait for Gabriella's next book.

I loved this book it was a fun and easy read I have passed it on to my friends and they loved it too. The characters felt real the setting felt real and I was up all night reading much to my husbands displeaser. Oh well he got over it. I laughed and sighed and drooled too. All in all I loved it as much as her first 3 books.
Buy it, Read it, and love it too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story!, March 25, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Yours Always (Zebra Historical Romance) (Paperback)

Ms. Anderson is a genius! She created the most incredible idea for Your's Always and Ever Yours. They both have story lines that are like no others. The mystical Mr. Stanhope, although dead, brings together couples in the most romantic of ways. Or is he dead? The characters are memorable and "real". They were believable and acted exactly as they should. Anyone who passes up these two books is missing the most unique story lines.

Reading romance all the time often becomes predictable and mundane. Sometimes they seem all alike with different covers to tell them apart.
These two books are different and thoroughly enjoyable.

I'm off now to read A Matter of Pride. I hope Gabriella Anderson writes a lot more books. (Psssst, Gabriella, bring back Mr. Stanhope!)

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what I wanted from this sequel, December 12, 2006
This review is from: Yours Always (Zebra Historical Romance) (Paperback)
Gabriella Anderson's Yours Always is the follow up to her previous novel, Ever Yours. In this story, investigator Colin Savernake is back and this time he has been tapped by Lord Stanhope to find the culprit behind a rash of thefts at the home of a country squire. When Savernake arrives to investigate the crime, the first thing he notices is the squire's beautiful, and destitute, betrothed--Lady Anthea. Convinced that she is the one behind the squire's missing possessions, Savernake struggles to prove that she is the thief while at the same time falling for her.

Yours Always is as well-written as Ever Yours, but the story is just not where I wanted this series to go. Let me get this out of the way first--WHY ISN'T THIS STORY ABOUT STYLES??? Okay, now that that's out there this story just seemed to me like Every Yours 2.0. The heroine is driven by a sense of duty for her family to marry a man who might not be what she wants for herself. So instead, she takes one night for herself with the man she actually could love while promising herself she will return to her obligations the next day. The hero can't quite trust that the heroine could want him for him and instead has to wonder about her motivations until at last he can just let love rule and be with her. It's a good story, but we've seen it before. If you liked Ever Yours you will enjoy Yours Always without a doubt. I did. I'm just a bit angry that the story wasn't a bit different and that Anderson didn't take more risks. And lastly that this book wasn't about Styles.

COME ON GABI. GIVE STYLES HIS OWN BOOK.
