Sara definitely provides one of the most stunning vocal performances of the year. In an industry full of pre-packaged and over produced Britneys, Ahslees, and BSBs, it is refeshing to find an artist that can hold her own without the need of hooky basslines and beats. While the fair is mostly Jazz Standards, her renditions of Blackbird, Circle Game and three original tracks - Yours, Amazing and You Got By - break up the tried and true songs and lets you experience a fresh perspective of Jazz. This is a record that anyone will love, and everyone should have.

Sara's CD is so beautiful, I can't help hearing the title track "Yours" over and over again in my head. I saw her at Yoshi's, and she was just as lovely live. Her band is AMAZING and adds so many textures and dynamics to the brilliant arrangements.

Recently, I heard Blackbird/Bye Bye Blackbird on my local radio but missed hearing the artist named. The song was in my head for a WEEK; I couldn't stop hearing that voice and instrumentals. Finally, after listening to a few versions on Rhapsody, I was again reunited with the gorgeous vocals of Sara Gazarek - and purchased the album immediately. I was surprised to find that each track has the quality of the first song I'd heard and loved so much. Ms. Gazarek's vocal stylings are unique, simple and classic at the same time. This CD mixes old favorites with a few new favorites - a definite must for anyone who wants a CD filled with music to make you just feel good. I don't think this album will leave my CD player for awhile.

On her debut album, "Yours", Miss Gazarek wooed me. I am a picky guy, especially when it comes to singers, but boy can this girl sing! I love how innovative the arrangements are - jazzy infused with her personal influences. There is a spirit and emotion to this record that most singers don't find until their 3rd or 4th album. Sara will be around for a long time.

I first saw Sara in Seattle....although I'm from TX. Hubby and I were totally enthralled. I have worn out the CD we purchased that evening. I have seen her live several times since...she continues to blow me away. If you close your eyes you would think she was in her 30's....such maturity in her voice. I attended another concert in Seattle and was able to get her "in-between" CD to hold us over until the next CD comes out....it is just as awesome!!
There are not enough words to describe Josh either!! Where did he learn to play and write?!! WOW!!! I love all of his work!!
I can't wait for the new CD!! You will miss out on totally awesome music if you don't buy this now!!!

I heard Sara in Dallas last weekend, and she has it. That special star quality and all the talent to make it big - remember this name - you'll hear it often someday. In a sea of no-talent singers in the mainstream these days, Sara is a welcome audition. Don't miss this one.

This Cd is one of the best I have ever bought. Song after song is intriguing. I expecially enjoy the pianists original compositions. Sara Garerek caught me with Blackbird, thrilled me with Cheek to Cheek and amazed me with Amazing. I am sure you will enjoy this too!

Every time one of these tracks comes up on my iPod's shuffle it just makes me happy. Her voice is just captivating, I could listen to her forever. My only disappointment is that this is her only CD so far.

Purchased this CD after hearing one of the local stations play a track off of it (I don't recall which one, but I think it was My Shining Hour). Ms. Gazarek's voice stood out right away to me. She has total, perfect control over her voice, and gives each track its own unique flavor. Instead of overpowering every song, her talent shines as she vocally interprets each song in a sophisticated manner. She certainly doesn't sound as young as she is, and many great things will be coming from this outstanding artist.

Sara Gazerek...where in the heck did she come from?? I am a huge Nancy LaMott fan..God rest her soul...and like some sort of miracle from heaven..Sara Gazarek shows up and knocks a Grand Slam out of the park her first time up to bat....

The thing that struck me the most about this album is you can absolutely literally HEAR her smile!!!!! She has the most approachable, engaging voice I have heard in a long, long time....the only other albums I know where you get this "presence in the room" is from most all of Nancy LaMott's albums and the classic Frank Sinatra at the Sands Live with Count Basie and his Orchestra album...total classic..

Sara Gazarek's album just keeps delivering song after song....the entire album just makes you smile because you know she has this infectious lovable smile in her voice that just makes you stop thinking about anything else but Sara and her songs!!! Her smile just makes you melt.....how can a CD do this???!!!...but she just goes into another dimension and takes the listner happily with her.....it is as if you were on stage with her inches away from her face on the other side of the mic!!! I don't know how to describe what this feels like!!!

She has the best voice...doesn't strain on anything...and the ensemble she has backing her up is slick, cool, and understated.... but so good they could cut an album without the singing and it would be a winner too...

Every single cut on this album is good...AND IT IS GOOD ON THE VERY FIRST LISTEN....this is a remarkable measure of a good album for me....if on the very first listen...it just grabbed you, you got yourself a treasure....and every single song on here is perfectly sung with perfect back up....and the recording is as clean and pristine sounding as is humanly possible.....the proof is they actually caught a smile on an audio CD!!! BUY THIS ALBUM!!

If you don't IMMEDIATELY buy this album, you are letting precious minutes of your own life slip away without the benefit of being swept up into something really, really incredible....

This is rare..this is soooooooo good...

Let's hope she gets into a recording studio soon again and often....

Nobody on the planet is doing this kind of music with such effortless precision and feeling....

and I am probably UNDERSTATING how good this album is since I cannot find the proper words here....Just buy it....go and just buy it and don't ask any questions..don't read any further....

and I don't work for Sara either...I am a radar air traffic controller and let me tell you my one hour each way commutes to work have been on cloud nine for a whole week after buying this!!!

If you buy this and don't like it..then publically rake me over the coals....but I won't mind....I have a permanent Sara Gazarek smile in my heart now!!!
