Rick Braun is theeeeeee greatest horn blower of our time - without question! Cute too. :-) One thing we all have to remind ourselves of is that he is always reinventing his sound. I deeply love his music (and live performances), and I am always amazed with the reach he has in accomplishing new sound horizons in each and every CD he comes out with! Rick Braun is a TRUE ARTIST - always, always fresh and exciting even if the tone of the CD (Yours Truly) is mellower than the Rick Braun we are accustomed to....

Although "Yours Truly" has music we've heard before, no one interprets and plays the songs like Rick -- with the style and class this man has! His music - and his message shows his talent and his love for what he does, and for his fans. He is a tough act to follow and yet he always, always, always tops himself!

Ignore the negative reviews - they don't know what they are talking about.

Very easy to take cover of a lot of pretty good tunes. Pleasant, and will get a lot of play around my house. Not very inventive, but mellow with a beat, and that's not bad. Five stars as an easy listening album, only four if you're looking for a jazzy hook.

At one time in my life I made my living playing jazz music. Although, was never good enough to even think of making it big time. Guys like Rick Braun who play with such SOUL take music to an emotional high that can't be "manufactured" by wanna be musicians. The fact is that he has it. He could play anything at all and the soul would come through. I heard the Shining Star cut off this album on the radio and almost had to pull the car over. I really love the way he plays with such understatement. And, I especially appreciate the fact that he is not trying to perform the mindless jazz gymnastics that so many tasteless wanna be's try to do.

This is great music played by an outstanding musician.

Rick Braun has done it again! He always seems to amaze me with his versitility and artmanship. He is always in "Full Stride" and knows what to give his fans. He has taken some great songs and made them even greater by adding his trumphet to them. His rendition of "Holding Back the Years" which is one of my all time favorites, really touched my soul. When you listen to his music, he actually takes you on a journey and each song is an experience in itself. I can't wait to see him perform these songs in person because he is an outstanding performer as well. He never leaves the audience lacking for anything - you always want more. I am a true Rick Braun fan and will continue to experience the journey that he takes me on. Hats off Rick!!! Wonderful CD! You are theeeeee man!

This is just plain downright fun music! Rick has taken some classics and given them new life. Kudos for believing in yourself and these oldie but goodie tunes.
Rock, funk and soul all in one!

In our uncertain world with much stress and negativity, Rick Braun's amazing trumpet soothes the soul with music that invokes memories of better days. It is an elegant change from the everyday beat of music. When you are weary from the day, put in Yours Truly and your soul will smile. When your day is too hectic, put in Yours Truly and the pace will change. It's a must have in your collection.

Rick shows his versatility by adding his flavor to some great standards. While I've always been a huge fan of the funky Rick, this CD shows the sensitive side. Rick did a great job and it was a double bonus to hear some of my all time favorites songs performed by my all time favorite horn blower! Bring those Yours Truly songs to Tampa soon!

This album is really fun. Rick Bruan knows how to keep smooth jazz from being boring. These songs bring back memories. His trumpet has the unmistakable Rick Braun voice. "Daughters" is my favorite, but I love "Shining Star" and "Walk on the Wild Side."

I have to object to the review that begrudges the minutes of music. I measure my music by the quality, not the quantity. This one is worth listenting to.

Wish I have read some reviewers comments before buying it. Very disappointing. Try "Kisses in the Rain".

Rick Braun doesn't waste notes on this one. If Hemingway played trumpet, this is how he would play. If you want flowery smooth jazz, buy another Kenny G album. This is honest, pure, heartfelt, and fun.
