This video brought me to tears very early, when he went to visit his grandmother. His music does that to me often anyway, especially tears of joy as I dance to it. Regardless of one's religion, his CD Egypt can move you as it does me. It shows the beauty and peace of Sufi Islam. He is intensely dedicated to encouraging and empowering all Africans. As an English-speaking westerner, one does not need to understand his French or Wolof lyrics to understand the beauty of his music and message. I have met him in Miami, and he signed my copy of Egypt. Then he allowed people backstage after the concert for photographs and a meet-and-greet. I told him I love Mbalax, and he said, "Ok, maybe next time." I said, "Thank you." A year or two later, he and Super Etoile de Dakar came back to Miami and rocked Mbalax SO HARD. You can't find a more unique 5-6 octave range voice. This film is superbly produced. I also suggest Live In London and Bercy 2004. Youssou brings his fans so much joy. Thank you Youssou!
