Editorial Reviews

Review

Once again Henry Giroux shows why he is one of the most important public intellectuals in the world today. If it can be said that our future is in the hands of our youth, Henry paints a picture that is at times bleak yet still manages to restore a certain sense of hope. Drawing political inspiration instead of demonising youth, he positively reinforces his commitment to a critical pedagogy which refuses to accept the inevitability of the abuses of power which appear right before our very eyes. --Brad Evans, School of Politics & International Studies, University of Leeds

Most Helpful Customer Reviews

3 of 5 people found the following review helpful By Brian Ford on May 20, 2013
Format: Paperback
Read Henry Girous because what he says will be the common sense of the thinking person five years hence.
Henry knew about how Arne Duncan would be untrue ways back in 2009. Did you? If you didn't, it would be fine,
but not okay -- for when you don't say such things, they have flights on wings.

Henry, you do us a service. Let's hope you reserve a place in critical thought -- nothing sold or bought
but for its true value. And we value you.

Cheers and good health, the best wish I can give.
