5.0 out of 5 stars Really great!, December 1, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters OST (Audio CD)
I own this CD, and I really love it. It contains the background music (only two have vocals, but they aren't the complete songs, only the shorter version used in the series) for the original japanese version of the second animated series of Yu-Gi-Oh! (Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters). Contains most of the BGM from the Battle City episodes, I think. Unlike in the english dub, the original BGM is really nice and actually matches the occasion (if you haven't noticed it, then you have to pay more attention!)
This CD is really great for any collection, and really enjoyable. I don't regret buying it.
(psst..you might want to check other stores first! and the title for this cd is Sound Duel, not Duel Monsters!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, great, and greater still!, October 5, 2004
This review is from: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters OST (Audio CD)
First off, I want to make this clear. THIS IS NOT THE OST. This is Sound Duel 1

This is a wonderful CD. I happen to have it, and I love the tracks on it, especially "Dark Malik Ishtar", "Spirit of the Sennen Kingdom", "Bonding", and "Straying". This also contains the TV versions of the third Duel Monsters opening and ending themes, "WILD DRIVE" and "Rakuen". The tracks are as listed in English/romaji.
1. Sennen Power
2. WILD DRIVE(TV size)
3. Black Magician
4. Trap
5. Spirit of the Sennen Ring
6. Curse of Darkness
7. Spirit of the Sennen Kingomd
8. Duel Start
9. Pitiful Darkness
10. Malik Ishtar
11. Dark Malik Ishtar(More popularly named "Yami no Bakura" because of its' appearance in episode 79, a Yami no Bakura dedicated episode.)
12. In the Hands of Ghouls
13. Monster Summoned
14. Bonding
15. Battle City
16. Shizuka's Feelings
17. Turn End
18. Jonouchi Katsuya
19. Jonouchi Katsuya(Burning Emotions)
20. Kaiba Seto
21. Dark Power
22. Enjoying the Scenery
23. Comedy Team
24. Simply Ordinary
25. Dance Battle
26. Magician Girl
27. Duel With A Rival
28. Dark Sadness
29. Dark Game
30. Pharaoh's Memories
31. Legend of the Gravekeepers
32. Ra's Slumber
33. Decendent of God
34. Overwhelming Power
35. Pharaoh's Embodiment
36. Tragic Memory
37. Family of Gravekeepers
38. Straying
39. The Darkness Wakes
40. Rakuen(TV size)

As you can see, you get many songs, and many of them are wonderful. Go ahead, buy it, but if you look hard enough, you can get it, the two OSTs, and the other two Sound Duels for free over the internet.

Ne~! When I first started watching YGO I really didn't like the dubbed music. I thought it was pretty bad and very American (no offense). So naturally I blamed the dubbers. Especially after I started listening to the foreign tracks, I find that the original music has more emotion and feeling in it in comparison to the dubbed addition. I'd recomend this to anyone, but in my opinion, since it's kinda pricy download the songs separatly and burn them onto a disk or something.
